GetJar apps now on Yahoo!
After Sprint and AT&T announced that they will offer applications from the independent app store GetJar, now Yahoo! teams up with the store to integrate its apps in the famous search engine. As we told you earlier, GetJar already hit some impressive numbers with some 75,000 free apps and more than a billion downloads. With Yahoo!'s support this number could increase even further.

It should all happen fairly simple, according to GetJar. Users would have to search for something on Yahoo's mobile site and the yielded results would include the category apps. As we tested it on an Android handset, searching for sports would return apps like “NBC Sports”, “Sky Sports” and “Sports Illustrated” on Yahoo Mobile. Installation went seamless, just as expected. The service should be available to Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile phones. Let us know if you had any issues.
