Foxconn says relationship with Apple to only grow under new CEO
Foxconn, the Chinese parts supplier well known for assembling the iPhone and the iPad, is probably the one company most closely tied with Apple. As Cupertino’s shares tumbled over 7% in after-hours trading, Foxconn stock also slipped nearly 2.5% in Taipei, but the company reassured the public that its relationship with Apple will only grow under new CEO Tim Cook.

"We think Tim Cook has shown good work as stand-in CEO during Jobs' absences, and expect Apple will perform well in the future," Hon Hai Precision Industry, Foxconn's flagship said in an email for SFGate.

"The relationship between Cook and Foxconn has been very close and we expect that the relationship will become even closer in future," the company added. "We wish Steve Jobs will get well."

Foxconn has just recently unveiled a massive investment plan aiming to bring a million robots to its factories in three years. The company currently only has 10,000 and expects that number to surge to 300,000 over the next year.

In other news,
Foxconn to start issuing bungie cords and parachutes to all employees to reduce jumping suicides which are expected to increase. Since Cook is the one that keeps all the contracts with foxconn under control, im sure all those employees are just filled with the joy... of a quick death..

Foxconn will be fine if Tim Cook lets them keep oppressing their employees. Foxconn has a good thing going, people commit suicide & they don't have to pay severance pay. It's a win, win situation for Foxconn & Apple. Now Foxconn will have a problem if Tim Cook steps in & tries to make Foxconn a reputable place to work at!

as long as apple fans continue to buy their products despite the terrible working conditions caused by these products, Apple will have no need to impose itself on Foxconn or the others they contract to.

considering in the other article about Cook they said that he was personally responcible for "streamlining" and sending all those jobs to china and to foxcon. So more than likely Cook approves of the working conditions and buildings without ventillation.

but your right, as long as iDiots dont demand fair working conditions (yet most of them will talk about union rights... hypocrits) at foxcon centers, it will never change.
