Brew Mobile Platform open operating system announced
If you've used a standard cell phone in the past few years, especially for Verizon, then chances are the operating system was based on Qualcomm's Brew format. Now Qualcomm is hoping to improve upon it, with the announcement of their new Brew Mobile Platform open operating system. The Brew MP is a full mobile OS, that delivers features across a wide variety of 3G devices, including low cost smartphones and other data intensive phones, such as AT&T's quick messaging devices. Look for devices from AT&T this year featuring the Brew MP operating system.

I find it funny that the Brew platform was only used by VZW and Alltel, yet the first devices to really get to use the HTC innovated update with Qualcomm is AT&T, go figure.
