AT&T's $25 per month GoPhone plan now includes unlimited texting to a handful of other countries
Quite often in this day and age, we’re seeing less features for the amount of money that consumers are spending on their wireless service. However, there’s some good news for AT&T customers who are on the carrier’s GoPhone plans, as a new feature is being added all for gratis.

Specifically, AT&T’s base $25 per month GoPhone service is now being blessed with an unlimited texting feature that allow customers to text all they want to Canada, Mexico, and 100 additional countries. Previously, this feature was only made available to the higher $50 per month GoPhone offering – so yeah, it’s nice of AT&T to extend it for free to its lower monthly offering.

Therefore, the new $25 per month GoPhone Plan now provides for unlimited texting to those aforementioned places, plus 250 anytime voice minutes. Meanwhile, the $50 offering gives customers unlimited nationwide calling, texting, and data usage.

For those who’ve been content with the entry-level $25 GoPhone Plan, they’ll be extremely glad to know that the carrier is now throwing in unlimited texting for free. Nowadays, it’s quite rare to find anyone making this kind of a move, and instead, we hear about price hikes and dropped features – needless to say, this is seen as a positive move on AT&T’s behalf.

good try big blue, but virgin mobile offers "unlimited" wi-max and 100 mins in my area for $30/mo, and tmobile offers 5gb of hdspa+ and 300 minutes for $30/mo.

Just so you know, Virgin and Boost Mobile throttle you at 2.5GB of data. Just saying.

Not only that but at&t has way better coverage and much faster data speeds in general.

Yeah I know right? I mean come on if they want to compete with prepaid at all they'd offer data with the 25$ even if it was only a gig. Now that would be competitive especially if you could use any At&t phone and if you were a light user. But right now yeah Virgin and T-mob have the best prepaid

That's the thing about Verizon and AT&T who have the best coverage nation wide. Why would they offer you cheap data plans with lots of data to use on any unlocked phone? What would be the point in signing a conrract? Lol I wish that was true but lets face it they aren't going to do that anytime soon.

Yeah they wont do it because they know there are people that either don't know there is an alternative, need the coverage that prepaid doesn't provide, or think prepaid is a joke/for poor people.
