UPDATE: Upon further inspection, we've determined that the leaked information is most probably the result of fan fiction, and not a legit leak.

The HTC 11 smartphone has yet to be unveiled, but already a tipster seems to know exactly what the specs of the new flagship model are going to be. This source says to expect a 5.5-inch display on the phone, with a sharp 1440 x 2560 resolution. Powering the unit will be the just announced Snapdragon 835 chipset carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU.

Rumored to come with the HTC 11 is a whopping 8GB of RAM. That should make multi-tasking a snap. And with 256GB of native storage, users will be able to download and install a ton of apps as well as store many pictures and videos. A dual-camera setup is on back with both cameras weighing in at 12MP, and an 8MP front-facing camera takes selfies and handles video chats.

Not known for stuffing its handsets with large batteries, the 3700mAh cell rumored to be inside the HTC 11 should provide plenty of power. Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 replenishes the battery 20% faster than Quick Charge 3.0. Android 7.0 is pre-installed along with HTC's Sense 8 UI. The phone is expected to be launched sometime in 2017, priced in the U.K. at the equivalent of $691 USD.

We're not exactly sold on the authenticity of the picture that the tipster included with his rumored specs, so we would suggest that you take this rumor with a grain of salt.
