Take this report with a pinch of salt, but a German site is alleging that the European version of the Samsung Galaxy S is to receive Gingerbread in March.
It is said that this information is coming straight from Samsung, but even if it is genuine, it's yet unknown whether only the German Samsung Galaxy S will get Android 2.3 or all European Galaxy S phones.
As you most likely know, all US versions of the Samsung Galaxy S were updated to Froyo recently (though some setbacks were reported), so it's unlikely that they will taste the Gingerbread flavour in the coming weeks.
With these facts present, it's fair to assume that we will have to wait some time before we get to know Gingerbread on our beloved Galaxy S devices. We would love to be proven wrong, though.
