Samsung will have a hard time convincing everybody Galaxy S26 Ultra with Exynos 2600 is great

Been saying this for years. DXO Mark rankings show you the real results for the cameras on the S series and they are garbage.

Just FYI. I have had every other model year of S Ultra. Never had one issue. You may be right but it is not my nore the many other people I know who own Ssmsung S models experiences. Have loved every Ultra I've owned.

But you do see the Score on DXO ? $1300.00 device in 20th place ? Thats just crazy to me.

Yes I see but these are camera scores which means little to nothing to me. I do do even factor a phones camera into my buying decisions as I rarely ever take photos. The few i have taken look great to me.

As long as you are satisfied with the product, that is the most important factor. I would not be comfortable purchasing a device with mid-range camera and with a problematic CPU (as reported by users here) for $1300.00. I would prefer to pay the same amount for a device that offers significantly better performance and cameras.

Why do they need? When Applenused a 2 year old chip in the iPhone 15 base models did they drop the price? The iPhone Air has one less core activated, should they need wondrous the price? All these shutting greedy oems like Sony, Google, Apple, Samsung and other removed chargers, headphones and remive usable features and yet prices keep going up. Why aren't you calling them out too?

Oh and the Pixel is basically using a customized version of the Exynos. The hardware needs to be sufficient to run thr expect software. There is no law that says they all have to be leading in any benchmark.

Now I will use your stupid logic against you. Samsung top teller phones have 200MP cameras. I seen the price of the Vivo X200 U. It costs the same as the S25U.

The side by side specs alone shows the S25U is a better phone and the Vivo Ultra just came out after the S25U. Yet it costs the same or more depending on where you buy it.

Next, I don't care about smartphone benchmarks. I never have i never will. It is pointless BS banter. The Exynos doesn't have to be as powerful as the SnapDragon. It needs to however be powerful enough to run the phone for everyday usage which it does and always has. Period. I dont care abouts DXOmark. The primary cameras on any recent flagship are more than powerful enough for me. I've seen side by side comparison of the camera of the x200 Pro and Uktra vs the S25U and they all have there weaknesses and yet the S25U consistently beats them both.

I don't care about a bigger battery. Sure I wouldn't mind having one, but until the US changes it laws, it isn't going to happen. 45W charging is more than fast enough for me. I only charge every other night and I don't need fast charging when I am sleep.

All of these oems sell phones at ripoff prices regardless of your so-called complaint only against one oem.

Latest Geekbench scores show the Exynost beat all recent chipsets, including Apple A19. This is fact.

Actually I just went to DXOmark and looked at their scoring and where the S25U was ranked vs other brands including Apple and Chinese oems.

The score different are marginal at best.

The S25U got a total score of 151. Manynof the other phones were like 151-157with the one on top only being 175

What this actually means is the other devices only had some marginal differences and it is simply gonna come down to matter of taste and preference.

YT videos continue to show Samsung cameras are not garbage as you claimed and that the window of competition is really tight. None of them have an overall win.

Those videos mostly show that both Apple and Samsung cameras have been the most reliable and consistent in specific situations.

Samsung phones still produced the more sharper images, but of course are still saturated with more color which you can change. Apple still goes for more natural and dull, but you can still change that even after taking a photo, just like you can on Samsung.

Android phones, especially Samsjng phones still offers a better selection of manually setting the camera the way you prefer pics to be taken.

Videos taken with Samsung consistently have been more stable, but their are situations where others have done better.

No one zoom capabilities beat Samsung's 200MP sensor. None of them.

Also, that Hwawei device, why do you care about it? Assuming you live in the US, you cant even buy it. Which means you would have to pay double to import it which would make it 4 times more expensive vs the S25U.

Here is an example. I think iPhone are garbage. I based that on the fact that I've own 4 different models. It is because I'm the last they were less capable vs what they cost. In recent years Apple jas stepped up and made the device a lot better, but I dont see any reason to change because the product I already buy does what I want the way I want and I see no need to switch for no valid reason.

I can choose to buy what I want vs buying something that continues to play catchup. The gap has been wide for nearly 2 decades. These Chinese oems are in the same boat. That Hwawei doesn't even run Android, it doesn't work on any US carrier but 2 and even then it would be using lower slower standards. There is more to a product vs the camera.

Are you gonna buy that device? Nope. Even if you didn't, how would you use it? Without Google Services it nothing more than a paper-weight.

Now here is will try to find some common ground. I recently too a trip to Hong Kong. I had a chance to spend some time with 3 phones from Hwawei. Those device was very nice, fast, took great pics and had a comparable price around $1000USD. Of the phone was available in the US i would buy it because it would be 100% compatible with US requirements.

But when it comes to making a choice with options available in the US, nothing sold in the US beats any Galaxy S branded device consistently in any metric. The few little one ups of Google or Apple make them a solid contender, not an overall replacement. The Pixel or iPhone is still a downgrade vs the Galaxy S.
