this phone is awsome, but the only thing that I can't get to work is uploading music from my computer to the phone, but other then that I love it!!!!
If some one can helpme iwth the music thing e-mail me
The Sanyo M1 is an amazing phone..I had a previous Sanyo phone and after 2 yrs it finally stopped working properly. The M1 was the best phone on the market when I started phone shopping and it has not let me down yet. The sound quality of the MP3s and the ringers are top notch. I wasn't able to assign my MP3s as ringers so I simply cut them up into QCP format and they work fine(these programs are all online, but not from Sprint) I have blown everyone away with this phone once I show them all the features...never again will I have to be stuck in a doctor's office in the uncomfortable silience..I can watch a movie with this phone! The battery life was kinda weak at first, but if you put the phone on PowerSave mode it lasts a lot longer. The only improvement I would have made with this phone would have been to add a rubberized grip around it to protect it...other than that it kills the competition....
Dont listen to the other ppl.. This phone is AWSOME..... the menus are redundant but is cool its easy to go through and every rocks on this phone.. plus i get better call quality with sprint than cingular... plus sprint has better phones!!
I fell in love with this phone when I saw it. I wished it was a Samsung phone because that is the brand I feel has the best functionality. I bought it and now I've had it for a week. While the features are SUPER SWEET. it costs extra to use almost all of them. It has bluetooth and MP3 player and internet radio, all of which are sweet, except you can NOT upload your own MP3s and set them as your ringer. you can NOT upload ANYTHING and use it as a function on your phone. It is set up so any perks that would make this phone the best are over shadowed by greed. Not allowing (non DL'd) MP3s to function as ringers was my biggest let down. Other let downs: the screen freezes up frequently, Menus are difficult to navigate, there are too MANY menus, the number of customizable options are so high that it is difficult to set it to do what you want (certain menus over ride other menus) it to, all in all, it is a very high maitenence (sp?) phone with confusing settings and redundant menu options. Perhaps the programmers were n00bies, or perhaps they've never used a cell phone. Great ideas, executed poorly.
I purchased the M1 less than a week ago from sprint provider. The phone freezes on me i havent had the time to bring it back. Dont get me wrong, its a great phone but i never drop it or anyhting else. i love the ringer volume
I have had this phone for about a week now it is great and has lots of features that i did not expect. Phone is smaller than I expected and it is light. The external LCD is BIG and great for every function. The speakerphone is very load and plays mp3 load and clear. The media player also lets you play your music and do other things at the same time. The built in 1GB is great because it works fasted than external memory card. It is Ready-link capable. The phone does support GPS navigation using the garmin mobile application. The phone will also label pictures with the latitude and logitude of the time the picture was taken. Not to usefull but can be fun with certain applications out there.
Haven't had this phone for very long yet, but so far its great. I love how packed with features it is. Also, this site shows under the features list that it does NOT have GPS, however, it clearly states on the packaging and in the owners manual that it does.
Also, on sprints website, it shows that I can use the phones GPS feature for user location, but only to those that I will allow to request that information first.
I have loaded so far about 100 songs on to it, and still have well more than 600mb of space left.
There's also supposed to be a way to transfer contact info from my pc to my phone so I don't have to input it all by hand, but haven't figured that out just yet.
All in all, a great phone!! I highly recommend you DON'T buy it, so I'll be on of the only ones around here cool enough to have one!!
really great phone. Quite a unique combination of features and speed. Lighter than it looks, smaller than pictured. Seems like a terrific portable unit the only one maybe beter , yet to see, is Samsung F 300, 400, 500 series.
