Just Dont Waste Your Time

Phone owned for

Honestly this phone wasnt even worth the $150 I spent on it last August!!
It takes an eternity to get a text.
I thought the concept of text was the elimate the need to contact someone by phone. SO WHY DO I WAIT 5 MINUTES TO DO ANYTHING!!!!???

I am not saying this as an annoyed customer. I am saying this as a IRATE customer.
You wait for an eternity for anything.Your battery life is horrible. I dont even get half the battery life I ever should have. The camera is poor. The sound quality is so poor I have to crank the speaker to maxium to hear a single word. The speakerphone just should have been left out. I can have full bars and still only hear every 4th or 5th word.
Just dont waste your time. Get a better model, try the i880. Hell try a brick.
You'd get better service anyways!

The perfect phone

Phone owned for

As far as mobile phones under $50 go, this one is about as good as it gets. This phone has everything an average person would like in a phone. It is reliable, well built, has the important features, and has excellent signal strength. This is my first camera phone, and for a VGA camera, the quality of the photos are excellent. I cannot find video capture on this phone, so it is a little disappointing, and it doesnt have a mini-USB port, and of course, it is bulky; but it makes up for it in so many ways. The inernal and external displays are beautiful. The external display turns blue when you open it up, which is a really nice touch, and it has the time, date, battery strength, signal strength, speakerphone, ringtone, and web connection status. The internal display is high resolution, and displays vibrant colors compared to other phones out there. Compared to my old i730, and i860, this phone gets great signal strength and is now finally comparable to my friends phones from sprint and at&t. A big complaint is that this phone is bulky, which is true, but it feels solid, and its nice design touches help hide its bulkiness. I feel that the speakerphone could be a little nicer on the back like the i730, but that complaint is pushing the envelope. Compatibilty is the best of the best, although it doesnt have a USB port, you can simply buy an adapter off amazon for $2 and it will sync with your PC. The SIM card can be switched right in to transfer all your data, and the battery is compatible with my i530, i730, and i860!! The only reason I took off points in design is because it is bulky, and my only personal complaint with this phone is why I took off feature points. It takes a looonngg time to load. Although my friends newer phones take just as long, compared to a traditional nextel phone that turns right on (i730) this phone will take some getting used to. Overall, there is a reason why this phone is still for sale with sprint and boost mobile for 3 years, and still selling. It is an excellent, solid phone that will appease any customer not looking for the latest $500 pocketPC.

Get Insurance

Phone owned for

This phone is alright other then the fact that you have to wait like 5 minutes downloading text messages and the ringtones are boring and old and the speaker phone cuts out half of what the other person is saying. It's also annoying that if you drop it you have to get a new phone because it is so sensitive. I spilled like maybe a cm of water NEAR the phone and my phone vibrated for 13 hours straight on or off ecause it was short circuting. I didn't have very good service at all. Other then that it wasn't to bad. It was also a brick phone, it's HUGE.

a phone's a phone...

Phone owned for

PROS:
This one works perfectly fine for the application is it being used for which is a cell phone and a two way (construction business).

CONS:
The speakerphone is awful...you can hear the other person a little, but don't expect anyone to be able to understand you on the other end of the phone.

The camera quality is extremely low, but it really isn't meant to be a digital camera so to dock points here is hard to do.

Also...do NOT drop this phone. The casing gouges easily.

Not very many ringtones to choose from either. They are all pretty boring.

Great Phone with 4 small issues

Phone owned for

This is a fantastic phone in all areas with the exception of short battery life, poor camera quality, no calendar, and no calculator. The camera issue is not a major problem because I rarely need to take pictures. The calculator and calendar issues can be resolved by downloading applications from JAVA. The battery issue can be resolved by buying a 1400 high capacity battery and enlarged battery door. I really love this phone and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The Direct Talk off network walkie talkie feature is crystal clear and has a very long range. In addition, Direct Talk can penetrate concrete in high rise buildings. It is like owning a 5 watt UHF/VHF walkie talkie and a state of the art cell phone combined into one device.
