WaveSecure now available to Android
WaveSecure is an app, designed to protect your cell phone from thieves. Unfortunately, this doesn´t mean your device would morph itself into a robot, armed to the teeth with a railgun in one hand and flame thrower in the other. The application needs you to enter your own, personal identification number (PIN, but not the one that unlocks your SIM card) and the telephone number of a friend of yours that you trust. If someone else inserts their SIM card into your handset, the phone will send your buddie a short text with the number of the alleged thief and will enable the confidant to perform certain actions on your device. The program supports Symbian and Windows Mobile and as of now, Android.

WaveSecute Lite is already available on the Android Market completely free of charge and permits users to lock their devices, track them down if stolen or delete all information via an SMS. A full version is expected later this year that would allow users to take control through a web portal and archive all personal information, so it can be safely restored onto another device (supported by the software)

Awww, damn it looks like I ordered my Apple iPhone 3GS too fast. Wow, google is a little late for that, anyway I think Android is still too young.
