I've had this phone now for about 1 year. Overall I like it. The sound quality is decent, and the microphone seems to mute background sounds very well, so people onthe other end can hear you speaking clearly, even if you are in a noisey environment. All that being said, I do have 1 issue. The backlight on the keypad turns off after about 5 seconds. There is no way to adjust the time. The screen backlight is adjustable, but the keypad is not. I find this makes the phone difficult to use if the area you are making the call in is dark. I contacted the company and they verified that at this time, there is no way to adjust the keypad backlight.

Just a comment...you CAN turn off the key beeps etc.  Go into sounds and alerts and choose options (bottom left of screen) then choose customize.

This is a good, solid basic phone for those who don't want or need to have a mobile office or kids who need all all the interactive gadgets.
