Acer Iconia W510, Who should buy this tablet?

Dartarin has owned it for less than year before publishing this review

As a complete package the Acer Iconia W510 offers an alternative to those who need mobility whether travelling on campus with a laptop in their backpack all day, to a business person who travels between meetings and may also need to work at home. However without the compromise that other Tablets force users into by running software that has less flexibility or inferior substitutes and/or less hardware capabilities. This convertible is most suitable for those who want an additional computer to go with their home PC but want a laptop and with Windows 8 and SkyDrive, sharing information between your computers is even easier.

Build quality 8/10 Acer are hoping that the W510 with its quite affordable price and flexibility will be able to bridge the gap that some consumers find themselves in with either choosing a laptop or tablet by offering a device which is both. This device will do everything you hope to achieve in a portable device for its weight.
Reception 10/10 Great Wi-Fi modem support for hotspots.
Call quality 10/10 Great microphone support for Skype with a Mic/Headset multi jack.
Internet 10/10 The Windows 8 SkyDrive also makes sharing files even easier using cloud technology integrated into the OS as well as within software. There is also other software from Acer included aside from Windows 8 default installations that make the internet experience much better.
Multimedia 9/10 The dock is also capable of being a stand with its flexible hinge capable of bending around roughly 280 degrees. In addition for peripheral support, Bluetooth capabilities as well as a microSD to VGA adapter are included to connect your tablet to either a television or monitor. All these features allow for an excellent Multimedia experience.
Camera 7/10 8 Megapixels is the same technology as smart phones have had for the past 4 years in either the top to mid range. The dawn of the 13Mp is upon us and thus the 8Mp on a tablet is dwarfed.
UI speed 8/10 Intel Atom Z2760 processor also known as Clover Trail, a PowerVR SGX545 @ 533MHz graphics processing unit and 2gb of ram as well as coming in either 32gb or 64gb hard drive models.
Everyday usage 10/10 The 'Acer Ring' a shortcut and touch oriented style of media browsing helps navigate documents, photos, videos, device controls and your favorite apps. The Acer Crystal Eye, a camera and video camera app allows for more flexible options and greater control for taking pictures and videos than the default software included with Windows 8. This Tablet is an excellent device for day to day use whether recreational or professional.
Text input 10/10 The chick-let keyboard dock allows for excellent typing just as good as any Laptop experience. The on-screen keyboard with Windows 8 works excellently as does the built in volume rocker, helping save time from adjusting the volume manually through software inputs.
Display 8/10 Under serious pressure the W510 will start to wane but while running say two to four programs simultaneously, this device will be excellent at multi-tasking. It may not have the full fleshed out capabilities of an Ultrabook or PC, but if needed can run a single program quite well.
Battery 10/10 Coupled with the keyboard dock, the Iconia W510 gets an extra 8* hours of battery life, with the current 8* in the tablet, that's 16* hours total. *Average rates.
