There's a new update to the Facebook app if the phone you're using on a daily basis happens to be one of RIM's fashioned devices. That's right, the latest version 1.7.0.18 is currently available for download in App World and brings some slight improvements in the efficiency department. Some of the listed improvements involve news feed support, news feed filters, caching improvements, feed pre-fetching, and the view profile menu option. Although these may not be considered ground breaking updates, the user interface is still seriously lacking in that department – users have complained that the icons were made to require the icon caption text in order to distinguish what you're looking at. On top of that, it only has a 2 and a half stars rating in the App World – but we're sure Facebook fanatics will still go ahead and use it.
