I had every intention of buying the s8+, but it is way too narrow for such a long phone., it's supposed to be be wider than the s7 edge, but to me it looks narrower. No not for me.

ROFL I opened this review but not to read the review but to read the comments, Every time I check for the best smartphone here in PA, I always see iphone as #1 and I dont know why an Android phone cant be their #1, so I figured my they are leaning towards iPhones. So I dont read their reviews anymore, I just check PA for charging times of the phones which seems to be only unbiased here hahaha.

S8+ owner, thought I would share some case/protector experiences. I would prefer a case with both kickstand and card holder (so I can carry some business cards) but carry in front pocket so want smaller size. Cases with stand and card holder are rare. Case-Mate Tough Stand. Very nice buttons and kickstand but dangerous with wireless charging as metal kickstand got too hot to touch. Contacted customer service and they actually said the case was wireless charging compatible, I just had to remove the case :-) Returned Spigen Slim Armor. I have had good luck with this brand before but was not with this one. Power button was almost unusable and the kick stand had nothing holding it open so it just flopped around and would not hold phone unless and non-slip surface and at just the right angle..but it push screen too hard it would fall over. Worked with wireless charging. Returned Youmaker. Just received today and seem good but only with fair button action. Kickstand is stable and works with wireless charging. Curved glass screen protector. Box didn't have a brand on it, order via Amazon and fulfilled by TechWarehouse but seems to be multiple with same box. Didn't like visible glue strips on each end, seemed defective but that was the design....didn't matter, wouldn't work with case, returned. Have Spiegen Neoflex film screen protector on order. Have BEIMU case on order but expect a month to receive. This is the only case I have found that has both a card slot and kickstand. Worry that it is only $3.49 plus $4.48 shipping, don't have high expectations. Also have Zizo Static Series on order.

I can't believe PA left the "CONS" section blank. Are you kidding me??? Let's review the few that anyone can agree on!!! 1. Bixby was sold, but not included in the package. 2. Pathetic placement of the fingerprint sensor. 3. Glare around the curved display. 4. Laggy preference (even with SD835) I think these folks who reviewed the phone were salivating over the phone soooo much bc of it's delay that just like a dog who hasn't ate for a long time, didn't care about flavor, just ate it!!! Today Sammy Lovers!!! Too bad we didn't get an unbiased opinion. Not saying the phone is bad, but it's not perfect!

The reviewers on this site are quite biased. But I am not saying that to be critical. Everyone is. We all have preferences. The key is recognizing the bias and not letting it get in the way of their job. This is where they fail and why they are constantly attacked by PhoneArena users. Having said that, I can understand the reviewer not including #1 above (since Bixby will be launched eventually), but #2,3 and 4 should definitely be mentioned and have been mentioned elsewhere (even by reviewers in love with the phone).

I've heard some worrying reports about a purple tint on the display and screen burn on the bottom portion of the screen, housing the on screen buttons. Erica Griffin seems to think it's a hardware problem and can't be solved with a software update, so I'm waiting to see how this develops. I'm hoping that this doesn't become a big issue for Samsung, because they are pushing the boundaries at the moment, and they deserve better luck. There are so many great devices around at the moment and more to come, so as much as I desire this phone, I'm going to be patient.

Great review!! We just bought the S8 and S8 plus, we love them! Our Thunder Tech cases also just came in, and they are great quality cases that really protect our phones. If anyone's looking for a phone case, here's where we got ours on Amazon. Highly recommended! Look in Amazon under Thunder Tech!

This review sums up my exact experience with Samsung phones. The note 4 and S6 were their last good phones. On-paper" specs are one thing, but overall, I'm not very impressed with this phone. Sure, the processor speed is good, but not noticeably better than my S7. The battery performance is somewhat better and I think the low-light capabilities of the camera are significantly poorer than my S7. I'm disappointed with the dedicated "Bixby" button, as it is a feature that I never plan on using and I dislike the fact that it just gets in the way of using the volume buttons. It's something I have to consciously avoid. I'm also somewhat disappointed that they didn't offer a conventional flat-screen version of this phone, as the edge-screen features just get in the way of everyday usage..It's also something that I believe will decrease its durability. I'm constantly leery of glass breakage. In my opinion, the curved glass is just another "gimmicky" thing that Samsung is doing just to try to differentiate themselves from other phone manufacturers. The high screen resolution gets excellent marks, but it's not turned on by default, and when you do use it, battery performance drops significantly. I kind of wish Samsung would just get back to basics and make a good, durable phone with a flat screen with excellent processor speed and RAM, good display and a better camera. I also wish they would bring back the IR blaster. I do like the fact that the memory is expandable with a a Micro SD card. Overall, this phone has many gimmicky features that I never plan on using and/or just impede the normal everyday usage of the phone and the photo/camera quality is just plain disappointing.

Don't ever buy Samsung, they have the worst Customer service, when you have a warranty issues, you have to wait and wait send email after email wait 24 to 72 HR for them to contact you. They never do and then you have to start all over. Get a different phone and Tablet because when they stop working after 3 months you have to wait 3 month more just to get it fixed thats if you get lucky.
