I have the Note 4 which I think is the best looking phone in my opinion. I've recently just went and got my wife the new galaxy S7 for her. I was very impress with the features on the S7 especially the front camera. At first I thought my note 4 camera was bettter until I took a picture of me and my wife using the S7 front camera and saw the incredible sharpness and clarity and compare that to my note 4 and i was like "God Damn!" that's freaking sharp and crystal clear. so i took the phone from her and went crazy on it taking a whole bunch more front pictures of us and there's not a single blur or fuzziness at all in low light. I'm talking cloudy dimn sky and this camera just took it like it was daylight. samsung has really outdone it this time and came through with quality and features. My wife drop the phone on the giant rock at the beach and there was not a scratch nor ding on it whatsoever. So right now we're just waiting to see if samsung will come out with a temper glass privacy screen protector for it and giving the fact that this phone just came out it'll be a while before accessories for this new phone becomes available.

I just don't understand how anyone could be having so much problem with they're phone battery going out faster than they can keep it charge. Out of every samsung phones that I have had in the past. Not one of them has ever let me down in terms of battery life. Everyone of them that I had will usually last me on a single full charge up to 2 or 3 days if I use it heavily for gaming and watching movie. If i just use it for calling and texting it'll last me up to almost a week on a single full charge. On heavy usage my battery will get warm but not literrally hot hot which is bad bad for the battery. Please do not leave your phone in direct sunlight for no more than 5 minute. Sunlight tends to cause your phone to get hot fast and when that phone gets hot it kills the battery fast because battery need a way to keep it cool by hiding in shade or where there's good wind around.

Waterproofing the Note 5 or the coming Note "x" would not be any more difficult than giving it the same level of resistance held by the S7. The Stylus itself is not harmed by water (certainly not by only 1 meter of water) SIMPLY LINE THE INTERIOR OF THE "Silo" WHERE THE STYLUS RESIDES. of course at much greater depth the Stylus would be crushed but that is not a factor in this observation.

SAMSUNG'S OWN WEBSITE DOES A HORRIFIC JOB OF DESCRIBING OR ALLOWING FOR COMPARISON OF THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. ESPECIALLY WHEN COMPARING MODELS IN THE SAME FAMILY i.e. EITHER GALAXY OR NOTE, ON THE COMPARISON PAGE THEY DOF NOT IDENTIFY THE PHONE. ONLY IN CATEGORY DOES IT SAY GALAXY OR NOTE. Often the same phone from a different carrier will have different specs far more than just ram or being CDMA or TDMA. This happens less often than it used to but is still common especially when comparing a model made for AT&T vs the supposedly same phone made for Cricket. So I like to compare before I buy. At least when comparing models the spreadsheet does have a field for carrier. THE WiFi CAPABILITIES... & THE CPU POTENTIAL PROCESSING POWER ARE VERY HARD TO DETERMINE FROM THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SAMSUNG. The note 5 has slightly 1 more core than the S7 but the S7 lists 2 cores at one speed and 2 cores at a different speed. I as much guessing CPU & GPU... THE NOTE 5 IS LISTED AS "2.1GHz, 1.5GHz; Octa-Core" THE S7 ACTIVE IS LISTED "2.15GHz x 2 + 1.6GHz x 2, Qualcomm 8996" SO ON THE NOTE 5 IS THE EXTRA CORE AT 2.1 OR 1.5 GHz... more on that later... I am curious about the different nomenclature on the Samsung website when describing the processors of the S7 and S7 active. The S7 & S7 edge both list two different GHz then say quad core at the end whereas the S7 active gives the GHz of a core followed by "x 2" and later does not use the term quad core though there are 2 cores + a second 2 cores. They do however give the manufacturer name and model. But kind of like building any Linux or Android boxes named after berries the CPU & GPU are separate so I believe Samsung's previous nomenclature of calling the processor array a "quad core" was far less accurate than the current description. The current description however does not give a manufacturer or model of the CPU and I am assuming the information given is that of the GPU. Qualcomm, Mali, Snapdragon, Intel cores can be used to do either. The Mali 450 had similar controversy as it came in 2,4,6 & 8 core designs. Often manufactures using a quad core m450 would describe it as "Octo core" though in truth it had only 4 genuine cores but some threads were dedicated to triangles or shading or textures - by that reasoning I could call a quad core a 24 core design. I just wish they would give better specifics. Also where the S7 and Note 5 list sensors the S7 active says "N/A" in the same column but 3 columns down listed as "other" it lists the sensors all present and accounted for except the absence of a Hall sensor. Their incredibly and irregular descriptions of WiFi capability is even more infuriating. The S7 lists "802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4G+5GHz, VHT80 MIMO" The S7 active lists "802.11 a/b/g/n/e/i/ac/r 2.4GHz, 5GHz dual band support" I TRULY FEEL AS A HUGE MANUFACTURER THEY SHOULD AT LEAST LIST SENSORS UNDER THE SAME TITLE WHEN VIEWING PHONES IN A COMPARISON TOOL THEY MADE.

Ran out of room to describe research into Wifi but being AHT 80 capable or using MIMO does not mean using the overcrowded 2.4 & not so crowded 5.0GHz frequencies simultaneously.

When the Note 7 fell over, I went with the S7... Then the Edge... Turned the edge features off cos they are a waste of time. Then after a week of really wanting to go with the S7Edge, I decided that Im a note person, but the Note 3 I felt was longing. The Note 5 was never officially released in the UK and so I had to use ebay to grab one. I opted for the 64GB one because of the MicroSD failure and 64GB is ok, its not THAT limiting even though my Note 3 has 32GB plus a 128GB MicroSD in it and so 64 can feel low, the issue I do have, is that there is simply zero battery life? I mean, its sub-zero! 100% charge in the morning, if I dont use the phone at all, and I dont use Wifi or BlueTooth, then last thing at night, I might have some life left in it. Not possible if I have had to use it. In comparison, my note 3 gets charged once maybe twice a week, and I use it for everything and have WiFi and Bluetooth on 24/7 and I play games on it fairly heavily, plus I have a few comedy shows on it to watch for when Im gettign to sleep. If the Note 5's battery was twice as good, it would still be useless to me compared to the Note 3

I lost my Note 5 (Yes you guessed it..Pissed is a understatement) and I had to settle for the S7 edge. I have been trying to get rid of it since I had it. the Note series has to be one of if not he best phone on the market. The S7 edge has a crappy screen sensitivity issue when you have a otterbox or any screen protector on it. I can't have the phone on the table and type because it doesn't read my fingertips.. Just so many bad things to say. Sprint didn't have any Note 5 at the time so I settled. Can't wait til the Next Note comes out or I can find a Note 5 again.

For me, with my Note 5, the S7 is better. Now, if my Note 5 was not such a slut with the battery, I would be using it. But then given that I am back on my good old Note 3 and I find that a vastly superior phone to the s**tty S7 and S7edge, I would say to simply go with the Note 5 For me, its a no brainer. The Note is by far the most superior phone there is!
