0. phoneArena posted on 16 May 2012, 08:15

The HTC One X was the first new-generation Android smartphone to come out this year. It introduced us to a new kind of Android experience – one powered by an ultra-fast quad-core processor. With the recent introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S III, though, things are going to get much more interesting. Take a deep breath, people, as what follows is the most epic Android clash for the first half of the year – the Samsung Galaxy S III is facing the HTC One X!...

If someone was to write a review for a professional tech blog, I don't think a writer should hold any personal opinion in the article that he/she wrote. The comparison reviews should provide the pros and cons, the advantages and disadvantages of the devices. Then based on the facts given in the article, the readers could decide themselves on the winner.

If it's a personal blog, then it's a different case.

What you asking is logically not possible. Every tech site will have different ways and different opinions of a phone, you have to have a personal opinion.

That's where you're wrong, the personal opinion come from unprofessional writing. Anyone who at least took high school English will be taught to be objective within a research assignment without leaving personal opinion. So it is possible, is just most people choose not to.

I do agree that the One X has a lot of problem, but none that can't be fixed. The writing of this article needs to be more objective, especially the conclusion, where the writer just pretty much bashes the HTC device. To me, GSMArena's comparison shows much more professionalism even tho they do show opinions.

there is no such thing as objectivity. There is always something which is not objective and that why people have different opinions. For you one thing is objective for me is other thing so there is objectivity

Hey ,
If he has his opinion then he should not be a reporter !!
A reporter always has to be NEUTRAL !!

you and I are going to continue to butt heads over plastic.. lol

just for reference, both phones are made out of the exact same plastic, which is the same used in the Nokia 900. they just have different finishes on that plastic. a small adjustment needed in an otherwise good review.

so basically the oneX doesn't hold a candle. there went HTCs hope of a big come back. between s4 supply issues, software issues, and now import issues... its not the START HTC needs.

s3 is not polycarbonate unibody , just regular plastic right ?
After holding a Black OneS i can say that its the best phone to hold and feel for now .
But would i buy one ? No , quad core OneX for me please .
Although my friend says OneS better as cheaper , snapdragon 4 , amoled screen , better design

no its not polycarbonate unibody as it has removable battery but the back is made out of polycarbone still so if the material of the one x and lumia is considered premium then so should the s3's...the fact that the battery is removable should be considered a bonus...also regardless if a phone is unibody or not it should matter how the phone feels when all the pieces are together.

Not to mention the fact that samsung uses magnesium frame under the plastic. GS2 was damn impressive with 0 flex or creak

all i know is the s2 is a tough bitch
My father dropped his on shoulder height and its still works fine
But isnt Unibody better ?
There is a survey that most people dont want SD slots or removable batteries why samsung put them in anyway

it depends how the phone is built to be honest, sometimes oems make removable back so when it drops the back cover comes off which somehow reduces the chance of damage...lol cant remember where i read this again but its what i read..again probably not with all phones and depends on the design..personally unibody feels better in the hand but for me i need the removable battery and sd slot so for me the sacrifice of a unibody design for those 2 features is worth it.

Great review. And it's up to personal taste, but the last sentences made everything clear, if you need everything snappy and fast, you should buy Samsung Galaxy S III and that's what I will be doing. I may wait a little bit tough, because I wanna see Samsung's WP 8 version of Galaxy S III. With Exynos and WP 8 as OS, that will rock indeed! :D

Samsung must make every phone with the highest quality material in order to compete with Apple. Currently Samsung make phones with all plastic materials looks and feels cheap.

it is not plastic and if you want phone made of glass and when you drop it to throw it into the basket ok then buy iphone (iphones actually) and both one x and s3 looks better enough

enjoy watching.
In my opinion it just shows how far behind samsung is compared to apple. I'm not speaking in general but about s assistant. They wanted to make something similar and probalby better than siri and they failed. That's a gimmick.
That's the main difference. When apple does something it is polished (mostly). Samsung (the others too) makes an imitation trying to catch up rotten apple.
Haters and no-haters.
I don't like neither samsung nor apple.
I just thought it would be funny to see "assistant results" and who is better.
