Samsung Galaxy A80 review: brilliant idea, average results

One needs to look no further than the Galaxy A80 to gauge that DJ Koh wasn't kidding when he said that the lines between Samsung's flagships and midrangers will get increasingly blurry. Not only does the phone have an in-display fingerprint reader, glass body, generous RAM/storage amounts, and a big battery, but it also adds a triple camera system with 3D depth-sensing - you know, S10 5G-style...

Good article otherwise, but I disagree with conclusion about battery life...I was expecting about the same result as you got with the 3700mAh battery.

You gloss over the A80's ToF camera. And you barely mention anything about it. The A80 has excellent facial recognition. It's better than Apples FaceID. The A80 takes excellent bokeh and portrait mode images. Plus that ToF camera can be used to scan in objects for 3D printing, if the user wants to. This is something that a number of flagships still don't have yet.

Soo why does the A80 have smaller chin bezels in the information header photograph than it does in the pictures from the review
