Samsung Brightside Review

Oh smartphones, it’s very easy for us to be jaded by them nowadays, especially when companies pump them out of the factories at a prolific rate. In hindsight, we realize why they’re so prevalent in our society, but for those who still long for yesterday’s feature phones, there’s the Samsung Brightside for Verizon here to the rescue for those who primarily text...

I just bought my Brightside tonight. I bought this one because the Qwerty keyboard is larger and easier to type on. I had no problem setting it up and other than being rather slippery when trying to slide it open I was happy with it until my daughter called me. I have had others call me too and I find they cannot hear me and I can hardly hear them. When I use the phone I slide it open and put it on speaker phone. No one can hear me unless the phone is right up to my mouth and I can hardly hear them. Is this typical for this phone?? What can I do to increase my voice volume to them and them to me???

I purchased this phone in April of 2013, even after reading the reviews, knowing I had 14 days to see how it would work. After I had looked at smart phones, the data plans, this was the way for me. I have found to date the phone to work well in all areas. I think the issue for most people they want a smart phone and think this could work as one. I added texting since I only has a senior type minutes plan so I could text with my daughter and son. It i choose, I can go on the web,use the navigation, and whatever I want at will,it might cost me at that time, but it would only be a one time as needed for me. I enjoy this phone, would recommend it to any one who wants a basic with some other functions When they need it,with having an iPad, I can connect any place any time, did not need the expense of the smart phone. I did not pay the 100.00 either, shop at bestbuy got it cheap

Smartphonecashin definitely pays the highest values from all the cell phone trade-in programs.

this phone isn't a good one to get. I have had it since September and I have problems with it, so does others that have this phone. It turns off by its self, wont let you read texts when you go to slide it open it turns off. Not a very good phone to have

I have owned this phone for over two years now, and it has worked wonderfully. Very few problems, and the battery life hasn't even diminished significantly. I got it free with a 2-year plan, so I don't know why it is listed as so expensive. It isn't a smart phone, and it doesn't have a data plan, so I don't get why people are comparing it against other smart phones. What it lacks in sleekness it makes up in durability. This thing is a tank. Due to the regular beating it endures from me, and its sheer tenacity to live, I have nicknamed mine "Rasputin." I have dropped it in a hot tub and left it in there for a minute plus, and after a quick towel-dry it was completely functional again. I have dropped it down cement stairs. No problem. I have dropped it out of my moving car. Fine. I don't think I could kill it if I wanted to. The only problems I have experienced with this phone are that sometimes people have difficulty hearing me, and when it drops (if you haven't already noticed, this is a frequent occurrence for me,) it splits into three pieces, the phone, the battery and the back-casing. Although sometimes obnoxious, this is actually what makes it so durable, and allows for disbursement of energy upon impact. It's not fancy, but that's not what it is made for. It is a simple, working phone with a few nice features that doesn't need data and will get the job done.

Please do not get this phone. It is a waste of money and materials! It doesn't work; I have had three Brightsides and it still glitches freezes, calls 911 by itself, and has the same problems. Hope this saves you are time, money, and most importantly, Sanity!!!!!!!!!
