Nokia C5-03 Review
Voice calling is clear and loud. Volume on the Nokia C5-03  was very good and audibility was on par. We heard natural and clear voices on our end and on the other things were just as good, our callers heard us clearly and we sounded natural.

Battery life on the Nokia C5-03 is very good with quoted talk time of 11.5 hours and standby time of 25 days. In reality, we found we could get two days out of the battery with moderate use.

We appreciate Nokia's attempt to deliver an affordable smartphone but the dated Symbian^1 stands in the way of enjoying the almost full connectivity package and the 600MHz of processing power. Because of that, we feel that low-end Android handsets, such as the HTC Wildfire and the LG Optimus One, also have connectivity covered well and could be your alternative.

There are plenty of setbacks that could break the deal for the C5-03: some of the apps like the gallery and the browser are just terribly slow, Symbian is stuffed with menus, which make you feel like you are in a maze, and finally the fixed focus camera does not impress.

Currently, the Nokia C5-03 is sold at a retail price of about $280, but the phone is still expected in many markets and with the wider launch we can expect its price to get somewhat lower. Nokia enters deeper into the budget and mid-range smartphone markets and with the C5-03 it has some good potential. The price is more affordable than on current low-end Androids for example and compensates for some of the issues. If you are in store for a balanced phone with good functionality and can live with a dated OS, you might find the Nokia C5-03 just right.

Nokia C5-03 Video Review:

  • Affordable price
  • Connectivity well covered with 3G and Wi-Fi
  • Free navigation
  • Good battery life

  • Symbian^1 is dated
  • Camera lacks auto-focus
  • Poor video recording
  • Noticeable lag in some essential apps like the browser and the gallery

it has 2 delete options: one by long pressing the file(appears a menu that looks like PC right-click) and the second one is from the quickoffice app.

I have a c5-03 since january 2011 and it works very well. I have 2 recommendations: microSD >4GB, stereo headset for noisy environments. Quickoffice upgrade for Office editing and PDF reader are strongly recommended.

Nice device regarding its price.. in belgium 160€ with discount.
Only negative.. i find rather disturbing..slow gallery ( especially if you flip the screen to horizontal position. it may take up to 10 seconds for the pic to upload again to the screen ) Video function is average but what coul you expect for this low end price range
Like to hear from other about the gallery tweaks

purchased my Nokia on 23 march.. unfortunatly.. back to shop.. Phone applications kept freezing.. and all very slow. especially the pics viewing it took up to 15 seconds before pics appeared if you switched it from upright to horizontal mode.. and GPS Very slow in finding position ( even outdoors ) called Nokia and they said i should return it for examination. too bad :-(

Please dont buy this if anyone planning to, its total waste for our money, the battery is only one day use if you charge daily, The Music player hangs in middle of the songs and taking long time to display the contents........

Does Nokia c5-03 works better on t-mobile or AT&T?

1) the fone has no flash fr the camera.. one o the biggest drawbacks being frm the given price range.
2) ther's no xtra camera button to the side like the other phones.. makes it difficult for self photography.
3) whil multi choosing hv to go to options nd then mark all every item which makes it irrtitatin considering that lower end phns had a dirct mark option.
apart from tat the phone is good.. nokia shud look into these lil things the customer must hv tho..

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. Has just 75mb of ram, so constantly crashes. Terrible screen, rubbish software. No wonder Nokia is losing out.

This phone is garbage. Awful battery life (after 4 months, it lasts only 4 hours!), slow, slow software, and buggy too!

I had to remove the battery too many times just to turn the damn thing off.

Lots of freezes too. Even when hanging up calls!

If Nokia will still making phones like that, i'll change to another brand.
