LG G3 Review

Enter the G3 – LG's all-out attack on the Android universe that will employ all the available resources and technology in order to make a dent in the industry. That's not to say that it's going to have an easy time doing it. Phones like the Galaxy S5, One (M8), and Xperia Z2 certainly are a truly fearsome bunch, but it seems like the LG G3 has all the needed guns in order to deal with the threat...

I left Verizon for AT&T because of two reasons: I like the AT&T Next Plan and I wanted to get my G3 sooner. The G3 is a really nice phone, but I'm kinda disappointed that you don't start out 32 GB internal storage memory. AT&T LG G3 comes with a lot of apps pre installed and you do not have any earplugs.

The G3? Definitely one of the best phones i've ever used.

The real proof in all this is in the actual use of the smartphone. I have owned smartphones since they first came out in 07 and have had many as I am addicted to them. My LG G3 is way out front in the actual use and beauty of screen. My battery life in real use is awesome and the phone is blazing quick. Speaking of slim bezels, this phone is able to give you a 5.5 inch screen in basically the same overall size as most with 5" screen. It is also lightweight and I love the fact that I no longer have to worry about bumping the buttons on the side of the phone. Try using this phone for 3-4 weeks and then say what you want. It is high quality excellence

It seems Moto X+1 is bigger than Moto X, so it must more expensive than Moto x. Perhaps it will more compatible with Moto 360. And Moto x+1 case will lauches soon in this site! casecoco.com/personalized-cases-for-others/motorola-moto-x-cases-169

Tried out the phone today. disappointed... 1. HTC One M8 takes much quicker pictures and is overall much more responsive than LG G3 2. LG G3 is warm while HTC One M8 is cool. LG G3's maximum brightness capped at 90% that time, when I try to scroll past 90%, it says it cannot due to heat problems. 3. HTC One M8 just looks and feels better overall... I was so looking forward to LG G3.... it DOES have better quality camera overall and the album (this is where I think HTC didn't do too well, but album isn't the most important... Samsung Galaxy S5 takes pics as quick as HTC as well, and faster than LG G3. But I guess that's why LG G3 is cheaper than HTC or samsung by around US$65 (converted from NTD) recently.

You had a bad model then that really didnt work the way it should. I have had the phone since launch and it has never complained about being too hot, and it certainly has never reduced my brightness. I am not discrediting your experience here, but simply giving you a view from someone who has had the phone the entire time. I have never even had it at 100% for longer than a minute or two when i am outside because it is too bright. I can see the screen as clear as day at 100% brightness even on the brightest of days, but I otherwise will never use 100% because it just fries my retinas. It is too bright. Heck, half of the time I have it at 50% and constantly check to see if the brightness went UP because it looks so bright. I have never owned a phone whose screen was as bright as this one is.

You know, even if there is some cons to the phone I think the feel of it more than makes up for those cons. A 5.5", beautiful screen with a slim body is just way too good.

My rooted, 2 year old Xperia u with a ton of apps on it booted up faster in a side by side test than a fresh-from-the-factory G3 I tried in a store. I put the G3 down and proceeded to look at some actual decent phones...

Had mine nearly two weeks, since the software update the battery is amazing. I used it from 7am yesterday heavy usage, I had 50% left by 10pm.Brilliant battery. Overall a great phone and no faults to date.Except it can heat up a bit while charging. Loving my LG G3 and my new Spigen Armour case.

My $0.02.... After sitting through the Apple event and actually seeing the iPhone 6 (Plus specifically) I was at my local Verizon store by 3:30 EST and walking out with a new G3 by 4 pm. I am somewhat an Apple fanboy (owned every iPhone since the 3GS - not counting the horrific 5C - a 2014 27" iMac, iPad rMini, Apple TV, Apple Airport Extreme and my wife has a Macbook Air and iPad Air) and I can tell you the G3 is sweet. Reading these comments (although some are dated) is pretty entertaining. In "real life" the G3 is PLENTY viewable outdoors in the sun and the battery life is good. My first week with android has been fun & eye-opening.

Is the battery life good to last for a day?

I've had the G3 for a month now. I'm more than satisfied more than content with the G3. The last three, maybe four phones, that i've bought were based on your reviews. Thank you PA.

I can't believe somebody gave this phone 9.2. Come on, are you serious? Battery dies like 3 hours of 1h total on an off talk, 50 messages and 30 emails reads. If you leave the phone, battery is slowly draining and about 7-8h is gone on its own. When downloading files or updating apps, phone gets hot in the middle. The contacts list usually ends up in corrupt mode, when phone goes from Landscape to Portrait and vice vs. Screen is not as sensitive. Sometime the name you want to text or dial ends up under the + button on the lower right corner and you need to scroll to proceed. It seems even with the slightest move, phone goes to landscape format. Some heavy applications take time to load, processor isn't that good. Back camera isnt that good, pictures are dim and does not adjust to the light very well. I will not grade this phone higher then 7.8 or 8.00.
