LG G2 versus the iPhone 5 – it is a battle of differences. The LG G2 brings a large screen against the comparatively small 4-inch iPhone, then it’s a polycarbonate body against solid aluminium…

I'm sure the A7 is a beast, but until the apps are optimized for it, we're not likely to see benefits of 64-bit phones yet. There was a great article on the A7 over at CNet. The basic theory is that it's for the iPad and future Macs, not the iPhone. They want to unify apps across all Apple devices, and since Macs are 64-bit, the iPhone and iPad need to be, too.

Optimizing apps will not be an issue in IOS since its a closed system and Apple holds all the keys. Android will have a much more difficult time with it in the future.

The very best powerful GPU are by Pvrsgx, best CPU by Exynos. That's why Apple never uses Snapdragon nor Adreno

That is quite hilarious actually. The GS4 exynos uses a higher end version of the power vr in the iPhone 5 and even that loses on some level against the Adreno in the S800. Even the monster battery hungry quad core version of the power vr in the iPad 4 is not that much crazier than the S800 GPU.

Saying the iPhone 5 beats the adreno 330 is so off based and a joke that it isn't funny.

Why don't you at least do a comparison with the 5S since it's the newest flagship Apple offers. The 5 is history!

Because it's not available for testing, of course. I fully expect them to do head to heads of the 5S (vs. One, G2, S4, 1020, Moto X) next week. Physical tests like screen and audio quality are still valid with the i5 though.

lets make something clear here. phonearena keeps comparing IOS to android in a fishy manner.
1. Iphone 5 browser lacks flash.( very good if you watch a lot of porn. downloading files is an issue in safari.)
2. Iphone 5 and all ios devices lack correct bluetooth file transfer even in 2013,how???
3. no file manager
4. video player cant play most codecs out there
5.you cant use iphone as a usb device to copy stuffs
6. ordinary mp3 file cant be used as ring tone
7. no ois, camera on the iphone is just wack compared to lg g2
8.the g2 has bigger screen for better multimedia consumption plus higher ppi
9. the g2 has a bigger and long lasting battery life
10. the g2 has a much louder speaker and a better OS
this is how you do a comparison. Tell us what the g2 has and the iphone 5 don't. dont tell me about what they both have.

1.Goodreader works well for downloading files, and watching alternative movies *ahem*
2.Goodreader also lets you transfer files
3.iOS was not intended to be an answer to mobile computing
4.VLC Player
5.in 2013 its not that serious, flash drives are easier to work with.
6.Convert MP3 to AAC using iTunes, make a 20 second sound clip and add to ringtones folder
8.well, that's obvious
9.yeah, larger battery
10. the OS of both phones are subjective. If you like iOS obviously the G2 isn't for you, if you're into Android then the G2 is a better phone.

-Not defending Apple but you have to think, there are apps that do things if you dig through the app store.

twens got some good points. You show a lot of "Alternatives" in your reply. But feature vs feature... IPhone is lagging. I guess it doesn't matter much for average consumers. For tech people being able to use your smartphone as a USB drive is a "Huge" deal.

I have the G2 and it most certainly does not have a better speaker than the iPhone.

So a kid who lives somehow with no Internet can't make the most of his or her iPhone without downloading third party apps from the app store. You are just brainwashed by Apple.. It's a pitty

Unrelated to the topic but I wanted to see if I could use my wife's iPhone 5 coming from a Note 2 and I personally cannot tolerate the small screen after 20 minutes . I then go back to my Note 2 and it's almost like using a new phone with a sigh of relief.
There's plenty that I like about the iPhone but if I can't get pass the screen then why bother. Apple could add a 16 core 10ghz 128 bit processor, 60 mega pixel camera and 1 terabyte of storage and I still would not buy with a 4 inch display. Maybe it's because I'm use to the large screens on Androids and smaller screens have no affect on me.

I just got the LG G2 and it's amazing. I did a ton of research before buying it and it's lived up to the hype. The battery lasts all day while using a ton of apps and surfing the web. My wife has the iPhone 5. The G2 dwarfs the 5 in size. I have to squint now when I look at her phone. Screen resolution is brilliant and the customization is not only fun but very useful. You can customize almost everything about the phone. The phone is big but not too big. The button placement is perfect and actually easy to get used to. The iPhone 5 has Siri which is nice. The G2 has some program that is similar but after comparing the two Siri wins. We asked the same questions and Siri answered faster. I would say this is the only flaw.I have taken a ton of pictures so far and love the editing features. I am confused as to why LG didn't really push this phone. The employees at Verizon knew nothing about it. I had to explain to them what features it had, lol. Honestly I've only had it for 4 days but wow, it's awesome!
