REALLY Phonearena? 8.2 this phone? Ridiculous. So HTC U11 is like a little bit better phone than Galaxy Α3, according to your rating. Embarassing

Like the U11, but back with that shine candy cover and Htc IPS has some rediish tint issue (noticeable on htc10) same as Samsung SA still thinking to buy it due to the 128gb and 6gb of ram available in my country.

Everyone harps about PA's rating... but eventually how many people over here actually end up buying the HTC U 11. My guess is that most people willing to spend this kind of money will be going with the S8/S8+ or the iPhone 7/7+.

The U11 is much less expensive than a samsung or iphone, plus you can't argue that it is a better phone. The only reason people don't buy HTC phones is because they SUCK at marketing. I've already pre ordered the HTC. Anyone who does their research will know which phone is actually best.

Yea, Stephen you're a moron. You think the design is outdated (which it isn't), so you give the best phone ever a terrible score? Phonearena has obviously sold out and isn't giving quality information anymore. I'm done with this site. It's been going downhill for a while anyway with their extremely annoying ads and poor content.

The 128 gb 6gb ram version of u11 is cheaper than LG G6 in my country other than average looks it's a pretty good phone

You need to provide more proof of the battery like screen shots of battery consumption, screen on time, screen brightness settings, apps that you used. I know I can get the Exynos S8+ to 7hrs of screen on time easy but 9hrs on the U11 man I seriously what to see those stats.

It is getting more and more obvious other things are playing with the so called unbiased smartphone website reviewers. This phone deserves more. And you know it. Bit than you look at your bank account and say whatever you needed to say. Look at all the comments.....what the hell are you thinking?

And outdated form factor?? Why do these Korean manufacturers wants to set a trend? And we all have to follow?? Curved Televisions? What a joke... Who came up with that idea?... Yesssss. And now all "old/normal" formfactor phones looks outdated... Yeah right.

Dated look? I've had the U11 for a few days and so many people ask about it. It's a real head turner. Edge sense isn't over engineered. Taking a landscape selfie has never easier. Not to mention, you actually have a way to take photos under water effortlessly now

I looked at many comparisons between the HTC U11 vs Galaxy S8, Pixel, Iphone 7, etc. and the U11 captures significantly sharper detail when you zoom in on full size, full resolution photo comparisons. But when looking at the compressed samples like the ones on this website, it is hard to see the difference in detail level. With these compressed photo comparison samples, you can only really compare colors and HDR. It is hard to say which phone is better because it is personal preference.

came back here after a while, and still laugh at the results PA scored. it should be listed as the 8th Wonder of the World. with so many determinative advantages and praises, u11 received an 8.2. looolz

If HTC would have called this phone the Samsung U11, the rating would be a full point (or more) higher.

first review i saw htc u11 slower than an s8...and i'm saying with real life reviews that we can watch samsung lose have slower UFS 2.0 vs UFS 2.1 on HTC U11. only on dreams samsung could be faster. so htc u11 have: the good: best speed so far (not in this review apparently) best sound on any smartphone. best earphones delivered by a manufactured (not in this review apparently) best camera alexa integration (first smartphone ever. you dont need to buy echo or run the app like huawei. htc u11 24/7 micro on and 4 mics to make sure you order will be listened). only for this should get 1 full point sense (only limited persons don't see the use of this great feature. and i bet will be greater over time). great screen. cons: dated design. 9.9 in my book samsung is a beautiful phone, but the looks will be ruined with any case puted there to protect the 900 euro phone and distortion image is good since when? reflected screen in the corners where screen bends its very distracting. never liked curved glass...never will...still is a beautiful phone to watch for a second...ordered an htc u11 to real life use not to show to my friends....for that i already have a beautiful girlfriend.

I wonder... the big ugly bezzles ofthe Sony Xperia Premium XZ are not so bad, but when talking about HTC suddenly the bezzles are ugly? very strange. All other phone sites over the internet praise the HTC U11 even though it has big bezzles. I am beginning to think that the reviewer here is either has something against HTC or he is a Sony fan.

maybe the reviewer is working at Samsung?

Hey PhoneArena, how about you guys start providing full resolution images, directly linked, like GSMarena does? Providing downsampled resized images inside a javascript gallery is useless.

That's one of the worst reviews I've seen: 1- Usually phonearena have the camera comparison tools to show the details of shooting, this was not done, which shows clearly that the reviewer did not take time to do this. First, we need to compare photos details. From direct comparions in real life, U11 has the best details compared to all available phones in the market, not even based on DXomark rating. If phonearena tool was used, then HTC would have been a clear winner in this. 2- Sustainable performance: sustainable performance is where the phone can handle processing for a long time without heating or dropping frames. Phonearena completely fail in this, Also real experience shows a huge difference, ask any game blogger, or test a game for 30 minutes and you will notice this. We've compared S8 with U11 and S8 doesn't stand a chance, frames dropping in 6 mins, the lags started to show, phones heats up... 3- the Audio dynamic range is not calculated, real life trials show a huge difference between the S8 and U11 when loudspeakers are used, I don't know what was used in the testing here, I recommend people to try both next to each other. 4- No bloatware on HTC U11, no lags and glitches whatsoever, compared to S8 which lags a lot, you press on an icon and wait... 5- the 5.8" display of S8 is actually a 5.2" when watching videos, looking at photos... The AMOLED is beautiful and wind in beauty, but for size it is the worst lie you can have. From all the above, and I highly recommend people to go any mobile shop and compare the U11 to S8, play a heavy game if possible using friends mobiles... Performance U11>>S8 Audio U11>>S8 Camera U11>S8 Design S8>U11 Ergonomics: is mixed bagged, fingerprint sensor is better located and more practical on U11, size is more practical on S8. Long term performance U11>S8 based on the bloatware and history of both companies Now if we look at the above and see that the U11 got 8.2 vs 9 for S8, I will surely wonder how much unreliable this review is.

classy look...U11's design has to be its glass back panel, which the manufacturer refers to as a “liquid surface.” Special materials on the inside of that glass not only give the surface a unique color, but refractive properties let that color shift and change under the right angles and lighting conditions

This phone deserves more than that. The cons are not even comparable to the other phones in terms of mistake and it seems like they under valued the improvements that other phones struggle to make every day.

After a full year using this phone - it's brilliant. The glass front and back remain unscratched, the camera is excellent, sound is bassy and the phone remains quick. It's gorgeous in the hand!
