HTC Rezound Review

HTC has been one of the more profound vigilant figures in the mobile industry that always has a knack in producing quality smartphones. When it comes to the Android landscape, they were there right from the beginning showing their commitment in tastefully complementing Google’s mobile platform with something as equally compelling on the hardware side. With memorable devices like the T-Mobile G1, Nexus One, and HTC EVO 4G under its belt, all eyes are on them to see what they can do to continue that trend in the face of never-ending competition.

I own this phone. There is one, similar to the Thunderbolt. Although in a slightly different area, not with the earpiece anymore, just below it.

Um is it just me or does anyone unless feel that out of the rezound, razr, and bionic that they would take a bionic. Nexus before them all of course though.

I haven't had a chance to get hands-on time with the bionic, but I have had time to play with the RAZR. IIRC, they are using the same camera, and in many other ways are similar. Most things being equal (price also being equal), I'd probably pick the RAZR. I mean, if everything's mostly the same, the sweet design and materials edge it out.

Well the razr is good but an lte phone without a removable battery doesnt sound like a good idea. Then the rezound even though it does have a removable battery the life will be so bad its unusable. Then i dont like the camerea hump on the razr and the hump and non removable battery is not worth it for a sa screen better materials .2ghz faster and a little thinner

About rezound...this phone proves one thing. HTC evolution stopped. RAZR has LTE module and is much more thinner. For me , 12 mm is not a big deal, but taking into consideration that this thing has 4+ inch screen and is a little bit too heavy I\'d like to ask. Where is a progress?

It is sad that you list \"Not running Android 4.0 ICS out of the box\" when Google hasn\'t even released the source code for ICS. How can you possibly expect any manufacturer to release a phone running an OS that isn\'t even available? I guess you just needed something to pad the Cons list. You should have added that it doesn\'t have a quad-core processor as well.

if you ask me this is unfair score. ever since the iphone 4s released almost NO androids have recieved higher than an 8.5

Razr got a 9. The ones that got a lower score deserved it.

The Razr also got a 9 on Cnet, making it their highest-rated phone ever. A select few Android phones are getting recognition as having surpassed the iPhone, but that doesn\'t mean all of them have.

Well, I think some of us should face it that the iPhone is not a bad phone. Now, I would never purchase an iPhone because I do not like the Apple ecosystem of products. Never have (well I take that back I used to like the gummy colored iMacs in 6th grade) but not anymore.

yeah i've never thought the iPhone was a bad phone myself, i still dub the iPhone 4/4S as one of the best feeling phones in my history of handling phones but i still think it's mostly inferior in terms of functionality.

The review doesn't sound so glorious, but when I saw the phone I thought it was. Thin Razr wasn't so exciting anymore, it faded. That's to me, of course. PA, since when is it boring to stick to the same design? I remember one phone having the "exactly" same design as previous model, not so exciting 8mp camera, small screen with not so high resolution anymore, no LTE, not nearly as powerful, and on and on. But, it received a glorious review and a higher score from you. I don't get it, what do you like in the phone?

I must agree, This phone seems very good. I think I may actually go to the store and check it out, It's making me want to trade in my Bionic (hate the shutter lag & i'm a music person).

Trade it in!!! I tested the camera on the Rezound today and it is outstanding! Especially in comparison to the Bionic's, coming from a former owner who decided to wait for the Nexus.

The Iphone4s got a 8.5 too. But I will agree, the write up for the Iphone was more positive.

This one got 8.

The rating was 8.0 for a while, due to a technical mistake. It is 8.5/10.

still you rate every thing lower than the iphone.

Has it occurred to you that they may be rating the iPhone just as highly as the best Android phones, not the other way around?

40. Owlet

Nope. And it's very obvious to most people here.

The only thing obvious to me is that people refuse to accept that the iPhone is a good product. It doesn\'t deserve a bad review just because Android fans don\'t like it.

HTC's interface is underwhelming. Pretty nasty if you ask me.

i think it's the opposite, it's much too overwhelming. i like more lighter interfaces myself like TW4 and Motorola's newer interface.
