Actually, from what I've seen so far, HTC is quite popular in Bulgaria. Bulgarians love premium products a bit too much, probably because few people here can afford them. HTC, being a maker of almost nothing but expensive high-end smartphones has a much better image in Bulgaria than Samsung, which populates all price points, including cheap feature phones.
My point is that the low score of the phone has nothing to do with the review being made in Bulgaria. If anything, most Bulgarians tend to love products just for being expensive. And few phones will come more expensive than the OneX.
If you looked at the pictures close enough you'd see that many reviews are not made in Bulgaria, Phonearena seems to have writers from different countries. Regardless, I've found most of their reviews quite useful and this is the first one that strikes me as unfair.

I want to see a "Chrome for Android" demo on HTC One X. I expect it to be super-fast on One X.

Even though I'm not a fan of HTC or their UI... 7.8 rating is pretty pathetic considering the guts this phone has in it. Quad Core processor and HD screen is reason enough to be at minimum 8

Mr Reviewer...i noticed a funny thing you wrote!
The first sentence of the conclusion says, "It was really surprising to see HTC fall from a record-breaker to an underperforming company in just a few months."
Shouldn't it be the other way round????
They certainly went up not down!!

Everyone WHY SO ANGRY?!!?!??
Its just a software issue it will be fixed by HTC. Its only because they released it early (not like Samsung) which is taking there time to do it right. HTC One X is their Flagship the have to make it better then their competitors. Or most people will go to other brands.

Considering a phone's software to be sub-par because of its (*replaceable*, it's android we're talking about) stock keyboard and browser is, simply put, ridiculous.
The only quality that's sub-par is the reviewer's. Hire someone who can speak properly instead of publishing horribly long video reviews because we have to listen to UM all the time from some utterly incompetent guy.

"With such advanced and expensive devices like the HTC One X, though, you have to demand top-notch quality in every aspect. That's not what we got with it."
Really, what about the even more expensive iPhone?

Basically, this review is just one mans opinion. I don't know why but, never noticed that PA bases the entire site review of a device on only one persons opinion. You would think they would review devices as a group so that there is a multitude of preferences and opinons involved in the process. How can any reviewer possibly give a totally objective review of a device if there is no discussion about the device from more then one point of view? Maybe I'm wrong, I didn't really read into to seeing if they do group reviews or not but, if they don't I would highly suggest it. Otherwise, these reviews and loosely based "scores" are meaningless.

Also, The two "cons" of the phone are directly related to easily replaceable and aspect of the UI and based mainly on user preference.

Just because the phone doesn't get a super high score does not mean Phone arena is biased to Apple, it means they have tougher standards. I wish all you kids would stop bitching everytime a phone you THINK is gonna be good, ends up being just average. I agree with this review. Everything HTC did with the phone doesn't improve anything that much, if at all, and jammed it all together. The best part is the screen. The processor is impossible to really test in real world scenarios because there's nothing tough enough to really tax a quad core just yet. Hell, there really isn't much that taxes a good dual-core either, making a quad-core over kill. One thing that's not mentioned is battery length. PA states the battery has a "reasonable amount of time" that it stayed charged. What the hell does that mean?!! At least give us a general amount of time. I wanted to know if HTC improved their notoriously bad battery strength yet. I wasn't really expecting much from this phone to be honest. The last HTC super phone, the Holiday (aka The Vivid), didn't impress much either. The biggest piece of info I got from this review was seeing in that chart how the GS2 beat the hell out of the Nexus in all those Quadrant tests. And all you guys wanna trade in your GS2's for a Nexus? Pffft

I'm very disappointed with this review. The 1080p video recording is 30fps according to heaps of other websites, only this one claims it as 23fps. I thought that they were also very picky about the One X's browser..Lastly, the keyboard is a personal opinion. 7.8 is just kind of shows to me that they're bias towards other smartphones, in my opinion.

A biased review is as a result of a biased journalist.
Your unprofessional review is creating many (more than 75%) comments including mine
here against you.

Hey all,
right. The phone has not disappointed me so far. I love the light weight, great design and the finishing. Apart from the great HTC Sense overlay, I love how the phone feels on my hand and every one who has seen the phone has fallen in love with it. The camera is pretty awesome as i. it is a 2.0 - which means it takes great low light images and ii. it can take images whilst shooting video. The speed at which the cam focuses it amazing.

Ok i have the One X and i must say that the ratings given for the phone were a bit negative to say the least. Ive seen way crapier phones that score a 9/10. Maybe it was just me but it seemed that for every positive the author gave, 2 maybe 3 negatives were given. So far i've read about 5 reviews for this phone and phone arena stood out as almost wanting to find any single reason to down it. Next time phone arena, choose an author that isnt so iPhone "biased" to write an article for a high end android device, jealousy and pride will unavoidably come into play thus preventing an accurate review.

This review is an abomination. Probably created by a person with strong negative disposition towards HTC. Everything feels so negative, even if he's pointing out the positive attributes of the phone, it feels like he didn't really want to say them at all! Take engadget's, verge's and GSMarena's review for an instance, they all expressed love and affection for it's gorgeous screen, and here you say it has glare equal to other phones? Did you use the phone at 0% brightness? Jeez! And about the browser, it's pretty much subjective. I, for instance, love the fact that it rearranges the texts when zooming in as i read long articles like this one. Because of it, i wouldn't have to drag the screen from one side to the other again and again until i finish reading. You just pointed out the negative part of it, you bias writer! Every single negative aspect of all the beautiful features you pointed out and not a single positive for some. You need to be fired! A writer should never ever have hidden agenda and biases.

HTC one X certainly has the wow factor. I was my faithful companion for more than 6 months now. I am one of the first to buy this phone. and I have taken this decision as I trust HTC.
I should say that I am very very impressed with this phone especially its screen its a generation ahead of the super AMOLED by Samsung( owned an S2 before this and S2 is a great phone), but what I noticed is that HD screen does takes the viewing experience to the next level.
HTC sense on any day is better than touchwiz but the problem here is that it is just too heavy and the biggest problem is that HTC couldn't optimise the software to hardware (i felt- not an engineer though). and i felt i am correct because no matter how much heavy the sense is it should run well with a QUAD CORE processor, but the interface is laggy at times i don't expect this after buying a phone for 36k .
Well that's enough on bad aspects now lets c the brighter side
if you own this baby you have one of the best looking handsets around, its a head turner. it has a excellent build quality, design, polycarbonate is terrific just awesome.
music player rocks, widgets are very usable, productivity is great. web browsing could be a tad better especially is you a loading full websites it is kind of slower even when compared to dual core phones.
the key board on this phone is awesome, trace is really good
camera is by for the best on any other HTC device and is really fast., vedio quality is good, exposure is excellent but it disappointing with the frame rates
last the battery life on this phone has taken me by surprise, i use easy batter saver app on 1.6x mode on this gives a good battery life (remember it is an Android so don't expect 2 days of battery from this). but as usual if you play games its going to drain out your battery soon.
Well this is what i felt about my HTC one X, it is an amazing phone but with a few hiccups which I think is not a big deal for HTC to solve. The jelly bean Will transform the user experience on this phone, so those who are not happy with this phone, don't be dissapointed as jelly bean comes to the resq( but donno when).
i wont be ditching this phone for a HTC one X+. Its not that great upgrade. i think my one X will do a great job once it gets the Jelly bean on it.
good job HTC

Sound Quality

Amazingly no reviewer talks about the bugs of Sense UI. HTC has changed the android multitasking which is a pain in the ass. Sense kills apps in background very aggressively(even with huge amount of RAM). This is being done to achieve a hassle free & lag free experience with better battery life. However, none of these has been achieved in any of HTC devices. All the HTC devices struggle for battery life & UI lags. The webpage reloading in HTC phones while toggling between apps is another major issue no reviewer talks about. Dont think these Smartphone reviewers are SMART. May be I should become a "Smartphone Reviewer".. :)
