Very very bad voting given to this producs...
-1080p video recording at 23 fps > i saw videos you made and they are pretty good
-Unintuitive stock browser > Install and put another browser as default
-Typing experience could have been much better > Install another keyboard and put it as default.

I't a damn Android than cons are totally non-sense !

lg was the first to come out with dual core phone, it still lose to samsung galaxy s2. it seems after reading this review, htc one x will suffer the same fate as lg and will lose to samsung galaxy s3 once it come out. samsung seems to be waiting for this phone to come out and see what they need to do or add to make galaxy s3 another success just like s2 and s1 before.

well tbh this phone doesn't have anything truly new...yes it has 4(sorry, 5) cores but they are last year cortex A-9, beats audio last year, design last century, only good thing going for it is that magnificent screen and ICS, even LG made more improvements in design and completely new UI, me personaly I don't like it very much but let us wait and see what customers have to say :)))

This was very disappointing. How in the world could you give this a 7.8? The cons you listed can all be fixed by a visit to the Google Play store, minus the 23fps on the video, which really isn't even that bad, it's actually pretty decent. All of the cons you listed are pretty much invalid. This is an Android device, the most customizable mobile platform. Taking off points for the stock browser and typing experience is just ridiculous, because if a user doesn't want to take advantage of all the customization that Android is capable of, that's their own fault, not the devices'. The One X should easily get an 8.5, quite possibly a 9. No disrespect, but please re-evaluate this review, you have done this magnificent piece of technology wrong.

Exactly! You could literally spend hours on an Android just customizing it to the point where it's not even Android anymore, it's your own device. On iOS you can only change the wallpapers and where the icons are located. Windows has a shot, they just need to make the right steps

i know. everybody complains about sense or touchwiz or all the custom ui's but if you dont like it either root and change the ROM or just download a launcher/skin

And if people are too lazy to change the things they don't like about the software, that's their own fault, and the device shouldn't get a bad reputation for it

This is a very strange review. Very similar to the strangeness of the Droid Razr getting a better score than the Maxx. This phone is better than anything currently on the market at this moment from what I can tell from other reviews. Are they comparing it to upcoming phones? If that is the case that is obviously unfair.

Yeah, I don't see why the Rezound got 8.5 (I think?) and this only gets 8.7. I mean, I've obviously never used this phone so I can't say for sure, but this has got to be better.

This is the worst and most biased review on the net!
"Typing experience could have been much better" . Really? The iphone has a 3.5 display and you call the typing experience on the ONE X not good enough?
"Unintuitive stock browser" You were trying to find cons and you came up with this? Really?
This phone is not perfect but it is the best one available right now! It's better than every other android phone and it DESTROYS the iphone in every aspect! I'm sorry iPhone Arena but your beloved iToy doesn't even come in the top 5! Most biased tech site in the net!

Ray the keyboard expert :D maybe PA went to a new level of phone evaluation (im not joking)... Maybe they started judging phones by future needs... Not a bad approach but it should have been stated in the conclusion if it was like that...

I prefer it when John V. does the video reviews, but it looks like a very nice phone. HTC did alot of improvements i wish they would to the htc sensation 4g!

Don't know what to think about this review. Engadget review says that it's good. I guess I better wait for GSMArena to review this phone. Looking at the hands on this morning, seems like it's going to be good.

In general, i like the performance of htc one x but in my opinion, android os is still behaving laggy inspite of quad core processor using in this phone......web browsing experience is still choppy and not smooth.Apple ios or windows phone mango are running on very very low hardware specs but these operating systems are butterly smooth and apparently no lag is there. So i think, quad core processor is just a waste here although i will perform brillantly while playing games and in benchmarks but it fails to deliever smooth UI rendering.

See an in detail video display on phone dog. This phone is blazing fast period,,,,, the video review gives you a real look on how fast this phone loads apps, and scrolls from screen to screen, It's obvious he loves iPhone, but hit's all good. The browser isssue could be poor signal, because what I saw on phone dog is the complete opposite of wht is shown here.

Dear friends! No.... i have not use this mobile yet but i have seen almost every Video Review of htc one x on almost every site related to mobiles and while watching my primary focus was on UI rendering and web browser of this mobile and i have already posted my observations in previous posts.Although benchmarks and games performance is awesome on this mobile but i personally give very importance to UI rendering and web browser performance so thats why i love ios and windows phone 7 operating systems. and lastly if i hurt any android lover's heart then i am sorry for that......

"not as simple as uppercase letters"? Really? Well if that ain't the stupidest thing I've ever read in a review, then I don't know what is. I mean, being able to actually see whether you're typing in upper or lower case at any time makes things more complicated. Congrats, I think you're well on the way to reinvent the wheel. With all due respect though, I can't be surprised: Americans always write everything in upper case. And that's just my experience - black-/whiteboard, a post-it, a banner, whatever, you'll see them writing in all caps. I doubt it makes things simpler; if anything, it's one of the many issues that make people think Americans are dumb, generally. Looking at an iPhone's QWERTY (with it's constant capitals), don't tell me it features more contrasting colors than Sense. And yeah, the faded secondary characters above (y'know, they're on any regular QWERTY as well, without ANY distinction) don't help typing at all, makes much more sense having to guess what they could be or having to go through extra layouts to find specials. The arrow keys to move the cursor really are stupid as well, much SIMPLER to try and spot the right place tapping in the text. All that on a 4.7" screen as opposed to a, say, 3.5" one. -_- (For the record, typing's completely comfortable for me on the 4.3" display of the Desire HD - in PORTRAIT mode. And I've rather huge hands.)

As for the browser, there's nothing wrong with it. You're just doing it wrong. 8)

Oh and btw, I wonder why the raw, untouched video sample from the phone isn't available to download or something... I'd really like to see that 22-23 fps value myself.
