HTC 10 Review

With the 10, HTC must prove to the world that its wares are worth the dough. And theirs have been a tough sale lately, largely because of objective shortcomings that the HTC 'style' of doing things—a style we've always been attracted to—wasn't able to cover for. So the 10 needs to be rock-solid both on the inside and outside, while also doing a splendid job getting us through a busy day of life acrobatics...

This is the noobiest phone comparison I've ever seen. Sense was always faster than touchwiz since the M7

Nexus devices seem faster than Samsung flagships because it literally has no advanced functions and it's a bare empty UI.

That isn't true anymore, 6.01 on my Galaxy S6 is just as fast and responsive as my Google devices. There isn't any difference. This was the case prior to the Galaxy S6 though, Touchwiz never offered the smoothest experience but it wasn't bad, interface a side they still offered better raw performance. Galaxy S4 back in the day with Google Edition rom was pretty nice, but ultimately not worth it due to all the stripped out software. The Google apps were s**te.

they deserve 9 just for the riddance of all bloatwar and keeping only google's apps, a lesson samsung should learn the hard way.

Good to see HTC back in the game, I honestly thought the hope was lost after M9 and A9.

SD810 has better GPU than 820??

Correction, it's better than SN820 in the HTC 10. Lets hope that's a firmware issue.

Honestly? I'm just happy that we have more than 1 really solid option that doesn't make any huge sacrifices. 2015 was a terrible year for mobile, at least 2016 is showing promise.

Lol you pitching the S7 edge as a better phone than the HTC 10 to me someone who clearly hates the S7 edge and thinks it shouldn't exist lol OK!.

This is the Android phone to get if you want premium design. The best os skin there is. They're making the right moves now. But will it be enough?

This phone is definitely worthy of being a long-term flagship backup when I'm in between other flagships. I've been waiting on a device that has it all and is light on the UI front. This phone ticks all the boxes and will stand the test of time with the type c port and future-proof internals. Thank you htc!

You get a small and dim screen, boring looks and absolutely nothing special. I see nothing here that is better than my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. So why all the hype?

Then just stay with your xperia z5 if this doesn't interest you. Really don't understand these people who say "looks are boring". Looks are subjective ffs.

It's a flagship of a different flavor. Most people are just swooning over it b/c they hate Samsung. Kinda sad really. Be together, not same. The S6 was my first Samsung and now I have the Note 5. I will be getting the Note 6 when it arrives. No one is offering as much as them for the $ right now. I've had 2 HTC, 2 Motorolas and an LG before these. I fully support HTC and hope this device does well. I wouldn't say it's better than the S7. I'd say it's S7-95/100 HTC 10-93/100. They're damn close, but the Samsung pulls ahead for added features. Performance is no difference. You'd need a scale higher than 1-10 to separate the two.
