Audio output power is a joke, this phone is unable to drive higher end earphones, there will also be problems with videos/music with lower audio level.

It may be a deal breaker for me if it sucks.

Agreed, max output voltage too low.

With that ugly camera hump and a screen that is not very usable outside this is a disappointing phone. So I guess it will be BlackBerry Priv or Sony Z5 Premium for me. I was originally thinking this would replace my Nexus 6 but other than a fingerprint sensor I see no point in buying this.

The Z5 premium display should be worse outside if they have the same teething problems the LG G3 did with releasing a super high res LCD display too early.

Well it some how managed to get a higher score than the s6 edge plus and real close to the note 5 but PA couldn't allow it to score close to its nutritional fruit

Lol it really is disgusting how different the standards are for Apple vs other OEMs. To be fair, the double standards exist everywhere and not just PA,

Miserable headphones audio output...I don't know about other people but audio output quality is more important for me than camera.

I care about the speaker loudness output. I don't care about the output coming out from a headphone, since i dont use it.:)

Jon V reviewing the 6p wow wat a joke. We should goto gsmarena or anandtech for a real review now.

So how the hell did a rehash design from 2014 and a super brick at that get a 9 and 9.3? While these fresh designs only score lower? I also love how PA absolutely trashes superior displays because of useless shit like nits and colour accuracy which can be fixed through software and ignores important things like resolution that can't be fixed through software. IPhonearena really needs to check their biases at the door.

Hey, is there anyway we can get the display analysis for the sRGB mode? I'm curious to see what the display is capable of if calibrated for sRGB accuracy. Or if anyone knows of a site that has done these measurements, I'd appreciate a link.

so it means that if they would have work together LG-Huawei-Google they could have develop a single better device?!

"Taller & wider than some other similarly sized phones" Iphonearena. Please take this into 6plus and 6s plus review !! ha ha ha

Lol double standards. Apple is allowed to make super brick giant bezels and reuse designs but Sony and HTC are not,

Bad review standards I always questioned this battery testing method...this confirms its flawed. Ive spoken to actual reviewers of the phones and this phone has killer standby time, plus they got 6 hours SOT time over the course of 13 hrs. How can it charge slower than the 5x when the 5x has type c as well and is like 30% smaller in capacity?? Plus size to big??? have you held an iphone 6 plus with 5.5 inch screen and no front speakers??? Put phablet as a con...but compared to other phones this size, its about the same, just taller and much more improved than the huge nexus 6 Starting to think the only review that matters is the one we do ourselves

The bottom line is never base your purchase on a single review. I for one read PA, CNET, PC Mag, and Droid Life and then take a consensus. Four very different publications and viewpoints. Battery life is now one of the most inconsistent tests. Just from the above, PC Mag got impressive battery life out of the 6P (10 hours vs. 6:10 for the Note 5 and a measly 4:11 for the 6S Plus.) Every site uses a different algorithm, and it's highly variable.

For a phone universally parised as bing crazy fast, I'm surprised at how badly it does in benchmarks.

Better benchmarks do not always equate to better performance. Look at the Note 5. Exceptional benchmarks yet the ram management is crap when compared to even the Nexus 6.

It's calculated. The Note 5 flies in general use and jumping between intensive apps wasn't a priority obviously and it shouldn't be.

how badly??? whoa.....falling behind the note 5 with its chip does not define BADLY at all lol My htc m8 still flies.

Okay, I reaaaaaly want to get this phone. It's awesome and all. Finally a nexus is ticking all the right boxes. At least that's what I thought till I saw that headphone output voltage score. See am an audiophile and while I don't use the most expensive earphones out there I make do with a soundmagic e10 and some very tight tweaking on viper4android. So yeah I get by. Now please can someone please explain to me why that headphone output score spells doom for any sound aspirations I may have for this phone. Honestly if it's that bad I just can't buy it. Just checked my bb z30s score using that chart. It's horrible. And the sound on that phone using earphones is just awful. Ps: I use a one plus one as my main phone and I live in nigeria(ever heard of it) so I basically have to import my phones( nexus isn't available here).

Getting the 6P myself but never the less John V. is the worst reviewer of them all. I would never consider him a reliable source for any phone purchase. He has always had an agenda, Spoiler alert he's one of the biggest iBoyz of them all. But hey, cant hate them for needing to pay the bills. (even if it is Apple's money). The reviews on this site are just plain broken!

Benchmarks reveal that onscreen frame rate onscreen are ridiculously low on these QHD screens. They should STOP with those QHD screens and offer us either both a model with QHD and a model with FHD. I'd rather have double or quadruple the framerates in Games than these stupid 15fps.

The amount of negatives is too damn high. It hadn't surprised me at all if it got less than 8.8.

Yep, Note 5 is definitely the king of android, probably the king of smartphones at the moment.

Not according to PA.. They seem to think apple is the king

Note 5 is the king of Android? No, it isn't. Especially when you factor into account the fact it has TouchWiz, which is basically butchering what Android really is.
