Well, for one the Note 5 got rated pretty low for what is, pretty much the best phablet in 2015. Two, iPhones have tons of major issues or they are ne ear strong in the major areas and they still get 9.2 or 9.3 so yeah...

Testing colors accuracy without "sRGB mode" is so silly... People who care about colors accuracy will toggle this setting on, obviously ! Seriously, give this phone the display charts it deserves !

Considering that you have the option to have over saturated colors to really show off the screen or a more accurate mode is aa big plus. As far as accuracy goes it's like having a device withe ability to look like an AMOLED and an LCD display.

THANK YOU. I literally joined just to comment this, but it looks like I was beaten to it.

Also lol @ you guys disagreeing with someone's opinion and crying about it so hard. I disagree with the S6's 9.3 review but I'm not going to go on a brigade whining about how one phone got a higher review score than an other phone. It's a review site, they review phones based on something they hold to a high standard. The iPhone scored as high as many other flagships (like the S6, the Droid Turbo, etc.) but here we are still crying about that 93 rating on the iPhone on every Android review that doesn't get that score. I know Verge disabled comments on most of their content, this site should consider doing the same. There is nothing good about reading comments on this site anymore.

Or they could be like PC Mag and give every good phone a 9. People are basically arguing over granularity. Is there really that much difference between a 93, a 91, and an 88?

If they disabled comments they would lose most of the visitors here.

People said that about The Verge when they did it, even I was skeptical. But they enable the comments and it has yielded (mostly) positive results. You definitely see less trolls. I thought it was a bigger problem to disable them on The Verge than it would be here, seeing as the Verge posts a lot more political-themed articles that are more prone to open discussion. This is just a cesspool of people who have no idea how a smartphone really works, they just buy a phone and become a fanboy trolling every single post they disagree with. It's pretty old.

They just need one or two people to moderate the comments, the trolls are fairly obvious to anyone who reads them regularly which they should be doing anyway. So long as they target trolls and not users giving constructive comments (including negative comments) it will work just fine.

PA used to moderate more aggressively, and it just pissed people off. The lines between trolls, fanboys, and people who just get into pissing matches are too blurry. Heck, a few years back, they censored potentially offensive language like "sheep."

That's because the iPhone 6s review score is a complete crock of a review. Using a 2014 design somehow had no effect on the score which is a joke by any standards.

Two reasons I didnt buy it instantly. Okeish screen, when compared to top samsung and mediocre battery, I WILL NOT ACCEPT a phablet that has mediocre battery, Its sad and shows how companies make huge phones which provides them lots of extra space but somehow they dont add lots of battery. Thankfully 6S plus and Note 5 are more than fine.

Lol so Google isn't allowed to have a worse display than Sansung but Apple is? Okay there.... I can tell you right off the bat that this display is much better than the display on the 6s plus.

Nexus and batterylife should never be used in same sentence.

Well, I guess you should follow your own logic then.

Dude stop defending Nexus so blindingly. It is a known fact that Nexus devices never had a great battery life. I know you are getting a Nexus (which you've made clear at least a million times on this site) but you don't need to defend it every time. It just shows your insecurity and that thumbing up your own comment takes that insecurity to another level. No phone is perfect including Nexus which is far from it. Get over it.

Maybe I'm Defending a phone that is praised by many reputable sites saying it is the best Android phone out? Not because I bought one. I make a decent living, so I'm not worried about need to justify a hefty purchase here or there.

Reputable sites! Cough. Right! A fairly average phone when compared to Samsung Note or Apple 6s is all of a sudden getting very good reviews? You don't think Google can't pay sites just as much as Apple or Samsung? Sorry. Looked at countless photo comparisons: this camera is ok but not better than Samsung, LG, or Apple. Screen is ok only. low sound output through earphones. So so battery life despite a big capacity battery. 8.8 is a fair score. Get over it. All this butt hurt over stupid phones! Never understood the whole sense of self worth tied to what kind of stupid piece of metal or plastic you have clinging to your hand.

The battery life is weak. Im done with phones that need to always be connected to the charger.

If it wasn't so darn big I would get it. It's almost the same size as the Nexus 6.

Same, I settled for the 5x but I would have gotten a ascend P8 with stock android easily. Google messed up. Ascend P8 based 5x and a gs6 edge + based Nexus 6p and it would be a done deal all over the place.

A Nexus Edge Plus would cost US$800. Nexus phones aren't subsidized anymore. You want them priced right out of existence just so you can have all the specs and benchmarks?

Did you make those screen measurements in sRGB mode? You used basic mode on the Note 5; I'm just wondering It might make a difference in the overblown colors
