Apple iPhone 6 Plus Review

Flaunting a 5.5-inch display, the iPhone 6 Plus from the outside looks like its 4.7-inch sibling, but it’s packing its own exclusive set of arsenal to set it apart. Taking into consideration that phablets are meant to be bridge devices between the smartphone and tablet, we’re curious to know exactly how the iPhone 6 Plus can deliver in that regard – more so knowing what its rivals have accomplished already. The word “plus” after anything sounds mighty intriguing, so let’s hope there’s a lot of that in this!

If millions of people buy iPhones when they are released and none of them care about these features, why do they even matter ?

Yes, and over 90% of humanity believes on a diety. It just proves that people are gullible.

It's ok if you don't believe in anything, but you're showing that your god is Android.

Best part about movie watching is its lack of native support for non-apple based codecs

I completely disagree with John's take on the body feeling sturdy. Fine crystal maybe premium but I wouldn't want to drop it. As I explained in another post, the display iphone6+ at the store I visited, had been marred and scratched in the back on the first day. Is this acceptable as being sturdy? Sturdy should also equate to handling. Can John honestly answer whether this is acceptable as a strudy design? The Galaxy S5 has been on display for over six months and looks like its right out of the box. To me, this constitutes far more usage strength in everyday handling practices. It's one thing to pay good money for a product, it's another to fear holding it and dropping it. Just like fine crystal, you can look at it but limit the handling. We are talking phones here. Not chandeliers and crystal. If we are going to pit metal to metal, I would argue the HTC design is a sturdier design. The love for the iphone has clouded the judgements of these tech sites. John B.

I don't get it, is PA afraid of Apple sue them if they give Apple products a lower rating? Just look at the cons of this phone, just look at it, how can the phone with such cons remain at 9/10? While some other phones that are better than this overhyped thing are rated lower? Or is PA reviewers like John V is being patriotic as an American that must give American products a higher rating? Don't forget, PA is a global Bulgarian tech site, it's not American. Sometimes I don't understand how PA's rating works.

They should have added "destroys all Android devices in all performance benchmarks" to pros. And it still has better battery life than Note 3.

I just don't understand those retards who are crying about specs when iPhone 6 just destroys everything else by far both in performance and benchmarks.

No it doesn't. Check the preliminary Anandtech benchmarks and you would see that the SD 805, which U.S. only a minor step up from the SD801, would win every GPU benchmark if the screen was 750p instead of QHD. Your Apple blinders might accept cherry picked benchmarks but even when you have Appletech, I mean Anandtech cherry picking benchmarks and brightness settings to make it look good, the SD805 still looks better if you interpret the benchmarks correctly.

Performance benchmarks exclude Antutu, Quadrant, Geekbench 3 and even 3DMark.. Is it because it is bested by competing phablets in those? These are the main synthetic benchmarks these days & shockingly none of them are metioned. As per PAs own assessment, the iphone 6 plus still really does not offer true multitasking as compared to its peers. Plus apps are not properly optimized for landscape view. This pretty much means that the iphone 6 plus offers nothing more than a larger screen to watch videos and play games. A score of 9/10 is mind boggling seeing that it falls short of what a phablet is expected to do. What is sad is that PAbwill score the Not 4 less despite it being a true multitasking pocket pc and making great use of the small screen.

It is like an apple iphone 5s with some minor uprage with bigger and higher resolution display. But Note 4 is still better than this, When it's come to price and features. this phablet is larger than note 4. Note 4 has S pen. It has larger screen but has small bezels compare to note 4. Note 4 has microSD card support, IR blaster, bluetooth sharing, better camera, and has more multi-tasking. phablets has larger screen, so it should have some multitasking features. But iphone 6 wins when it comes to gaming, design and 720p @ 240 FPS [ Not a samsung Fan :) ]

What you guys have to realize is that with any product everything isn't for everybody. Specs and features doesn't make one phone better than the other it's the user. It's based on the users needs and what they are looking for. The iPhone's specs may not be top notch but the phone itself works for millions of people. Android also works for millions of people. All the bashing of iPhones is just pure ignorance to me. Bashing of any phone is ignorant. If you don't like a phone no one is forcing you to buy it. And just hating on any phone won't make it sell any less. If you feel a phone isn't reviewed how you like that's just too bad. It's not your website so you have no say in the matter. If you want to make reviews that are biased and based off of your own preferences then make your own website and do it. Just too much complaining on every apple related post. When you see a post in a product your interested in you look for people that actually use that product to share their ideas. Instead every post just turns into this vs. that article. Like if you don't like something why sit there and discuss it. Just go comment on a post of a product you like. That goes for both sides apple lovers and android lovers. I am an iPhone user for years my first smartphone I've had plenty different android phones for work and I've always admired some of their features and wished my iPhone could do that. But it doesn't bother me cause for me I usally like how apple implements things in a more user friendly way. Yes they may be years behind and many cases but people that really love their iPhones don't really mind otherwise they would just get something else. I've worked at Sprint and AT&T. People aren't just blind followers of iPhones like many may think. A lot of my customers actually had legit reasons for why they liked their iPhone. Also why they didn't like their iPhone. Especially at AT&T the biggest carrier for the iPhone. It was the same for android. But pretty much it was more fun on this site when members shared their real life experinces and what they actually like. All this well this phone sucks my phone is better. Like what are you accomplishing bashing and hating on what someone else likes. That's stuff kids do. Once again that's for both sides. And please don't anybody say it's one side I see both sides doing the same stuff. But it does happen on mostly Apple related articles cause they are a lot of them.

What you need to realise is how to use paragraphs, then people might actually take the time to read what you've written.

Does it really matter it's the same amount of words to read. The same exact message. It's a comment section. Not a course in proper grammar. I'm on an iPad im not worried about fine tuning grammar. Either read it or don't. I won't care either way. It's on you

I agree that grammar shouldn't matter. People get too far involved with correcting grammar as if they didn't understand what people say. But, I disagree with you telling people not to read your posts if we don't like them. We all post to give our opinions or views. What is the point of posting if you don't want people to view your thoughts. Debates are based on views/opinions/experiences. I post all the time. Many disagree with what I say. That is why I add my name. To show confidence in my views. However, whether agreed upon or not, I wish for people to read them regardless. I believe in what I say and trust my years of experiences and knowledge. If it helps in teaching others, my posts are not in vane. Nor should yours. I don't agree on many of your posts, but, I also appreciate your views. John B.
