Acer Iconia W511 Review

0. phoneArena posted on 04 Apr 2013, 06:20

Windows 8 hybrids are a relatively new breed, but it seems like a whole lot of tech companies have one on the market already. That includes Acer with its Iconia W511 tablet, which we are about to take through its paces. It is a 10.1-inch slate powered by an Intel Atom processor paired with a dock that adds a physical keyboard and extra battery life. The device's specs can't really make it stand out, but it should be priced accordingly. But will the slate manage to prove itself as both a reliable tablet and a practical notebook substitute? We'll have the answer to that in a few moments!...

Took really long for PA to review this it seems; But it's going for around USD $550 without the dock in my country, and despite the average rating this is the tab to go for if u r comparing this with the Surface RT simply because it runs full windows 8, not RT.

Wrong. The W511 is equipped with A-GPS chip. At least here, in Russia all W511's are GPS-enabled.

I think that ! Acer Iconia 511 have all functions very nice machine. Longest battery time for pratical daily use. Have a real physical dimensions USB port on dock. smoothly working IPS screen, HDMI output , 3G , External SD slot, NFC, GPS, and have 1GB graphic card, front and back camera with outofocus. I use it I think very functional and pratical machine.
