Poll: so, what do you think about that Xperia XZ2 Premium's looks?

Sony has just revealed its brand-new Premium line smartphone today — the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. It sports a Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM, and a 5.8-inch display, which surprisingly still has the “classic” 16:9 aspect ratio, instead of going for the trendy 18:9. Of course, the Premium line is defined by its super-fine resolution and the XZ2 Premium is no exception — it has a 4K (2160 x 3840 pixels) resolution.

It's nice but not stunning to me.

I like that Sony is really trying to push things forward. I hope the device is as good as Sony promotes it. This is especially important for the camera.

This is a 4k display. The only OEM to make one. Besides this 4k display (3840x2160) is 5.8", and with no cutout. Plus this 4k display is suppose to be HDR. This should make VR apps look more life like.

@sgodsell Too bad. It only supports random VR apps. Not like those found on samsung VR or the daydream VR.

but wider screen also improve VR experience since they can show more contents on each sides I'm not really on the notch train but at least that's how other OEMs are making the difference, and improving for Sony, I know they're also trying to make a difference, but it's not going help them financially, and when the money runs out, you all know what will happen

To each their own. Amoled displays strain my eyes less than lcd, probably due to the absence of backlight.

The dual centered cameras look better than the stupid dual cameras on the iPhone.

You're not alone. I still love the XZ1 designs. Omnibalance screams industrial to me.

Why bring back the fat bezels without a headphone jack :( they should've have given the XZ2 Compact the single Motion Eye Camera and low res front facing camera, the XZ2 the dual camera and unveiled it now then wait and prepare a 4K UHD+ phone for second half of the year to at least make it look like they're not falling behind competitors.

If only they make it thinner, and 18:9 ratio screen, really i think they just use same last year leftover 4K panel.

24. Ciro1900

The looks are dissapointing, huge bezels. I just need a small phone with more screen. Kudos for finally upgrading to 6GB ram.

One step forward, two steps back. Glad they finally went with 6GB. The specs are indeed impressive..industry leading even, but then they took away the 3.5mm jack, went back to 16:9 aspect, thick bezels, and fatter than it has any reason to be. I understand that design is subjective so I won't say much on that, but I am personally really disappointed with the new redesign. Gone are the days that I was excited for a new Sony phone. I was hoping the new redesign would mean new life and renewed focus on their mobile industry, but this new gen left me very disappointed in Sony.
