Mid-range smartphones with in-display fingerprint sensors could become standard soon

A whopping 100 million in-display fingerprint sensors are expected to ship next year, leading a research and consulting firm to claim the feature will be "standard" on both mid-range and high-end 2019 smartphones...

If they are the 3D finger print scanners like Qualcomm's ultrasonic scanner, then they are even more secure. Plus it cannot be fooled by finger print impressions. Because that 3D scan includes some of the inner structure of your finger as well. It cannot be fooled.

If it's the slow 1st Gen optical in-display FPscanner (like in Vivo X20UD and X21), then no thanks. Better use a proper backside FPscanner.
