All the visible sensors make a white bevel glass cosmetically gawdy, at worst cheap looking.

Forget white. Forget pink-gold or whatever. Just go black, at least that cleans up the ridiculous bezels... Not that it'd matter but still.

Notice they mention it having 2hours longer battery life than the iphone 7? Which always lose battery comparison test so I want to see the results of the battery.

Higher res displays? Bump the screen size even a tiny bit? 5" same form factor!

These are incremental upgrades. Other OEM are pushing boundaries. Apple is forever playing safe.

I most agree on design. But I think they know if they made the regular 8 look like the X , even close, ppl wouldn't cough up that Gball

Saw the article title and thought new design, glad the author agrees. Design was good in 2014, getting stale now. Even keeping the home button they could have slimmed bezels, increased screen size, or did something to redesign the looks.

#1 absolutely.

Other manufacturers use a new design every model, well with exception of Sony Xperia.

When you look at some older phones phones like S3, S4 and S5. They all looked like a Galaxy, but they were not basically identical.

I want to know why they skipped 7S? Could it be so they can be on the same naming same as Samsung S8/Note 8?

I recall reading on how with the S8, the camera specs were only slightly above the S7 and that the camera was teh same. Looks like Apple did the same this year too.

A phone is a display with some metal or plastic around; what do you want it to look like?
