iPhone 6 - the rumors that came to be true (or didn't)
If you see us on the street and ask us which smartphone was 2014's most hotly rumored and leaked, we'd answer "the iPhone 6" with no hesitation whatsoever! Although Apple somehow did fine with keeping the iPhone 6 Plus and Watch at bay, it couldn't achieve the same level of secrecy with the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Basically, by March 2014, the smartphone's design was leaked in entirety. We just had no way of knowing it for sure.

Our list of rumors and evidence grew longer and longer, until we could finally stop with the guessing games, draw the line, and go back to see which rumors were for real, and which missed the mark.

So dark, I havent seen you around since this whole thing started, Ive been wanting to hear from the people who are gonna be buying the Iphone 6, what they thought of everything as a whole? Disappointed? Acceptable? More than you expected?

.....hopefully you were being sarcastic because that comment alone should answer your question. Plus him being the biggest Apple cheerleader here would only imply that he'll get it regardless of it being good or bad.

?? IM not being sarcastic at all, I would like to hear it from the other side. All day Ive seen nothing but the android community scream, laugh, and point fingers like a bunch of kids at anyone who buys apple products. Im an android user, Ive been with android for a very long time, I dont like to see our side look like a bunch of immature kids. Let the other side speak for themselves instead of being ridiculed before they even get a chance to think. They may not do the same for us at times, but being the bigger person is the right choice. If they are disappointed or frustrated, let them feel like they wont be insulted for it. -_-;;

Agreed. Android users, please. Its not bragging rights to have better specs etc. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. If you don't like it, don't buy it. The more you bash, the more publicity they will have.

Exactly, even though so, the silence is....somewhat disappointing. I was expecting a lot of rejoice from the community, but all Im hearing is a huge wave of disappointment and rejoice from the respective sides. My buddies who have Iphone are really angered by this, one was so mad he replaced his iphone with a LG G3 that same day saying "might as well swallow it and go with someone who cares" Im not sure what to make of this. In my own personally opinion, I was expecting more. There was such a large amount of build up and it felt very lackluster. Even with the Galaxy S5, they announced some features and benefits to it (Milk Music, better camera functions, Water/Dust Resistance, Ultra Power Saver Mode, etc etc) at least they had more things to talk about that made their phone unique. Im not sure what to say about this. Im not sure if the apple people on this site are happy or disappointed, but the silence says a lot for assumptions. I made a comment back where I said a lot of Apple users, tend to stick their noses in the air and think themselves better than others. This really feels like one of those situations. I was told it wasnt true, but, I suppose actions speak louder than a lack of words.

Dude, one thing I've learned about product release? - Take rumors with a grain of salt or something like that. - Expect nothing. - Accept what was done. Believe me, it will make you feel better about almost everything.

Your friend needs to get his emotions in check; it's a device, not a girlfriend. He's not "swallowing" anything, he's switching to a new device because the one he used to like doesn't quite cut it anymore. No shame in that...

immature? ok mature dude... are you new to this site? I think you are, dont you have seen how iNerds like jakelee, vixify, mxyz etc troll like hell about android? android fans were still reasonable a year ago but seeing the blantent bashing from izombies, android dudes also come up for the attack... Hey, but there are facts in apple's bashing, it is really a midrange phone with super high price, you cant deny it

Thats the point, Ive seen a lot more maturity with android than I have with a lot of the other OS's. As you said, you didnt start getting bad until the 'iNerds' as you call it, started poking at you. As they say 'Going to their level doesnt make you any better than them'. Besides, what is there left to troll you on? Most of android has surpassed apple devices in form and function now. Theres very little left of Apples grip that it depends a lot on the loyalty of its customer base, or even stubbornness. Let them have their day, we have ours more times a year than they do.

400 bucks ON CONTRACT? Heck, I bought a Huawei Ascend Mate2, OFF CONTRACT, full price for 300 bucks! 6.1" screen, 2-3 day EASY battery life. Oh, but it doesn't have a screen that you can rest on your eyeball and not see the pixels, but who holds a phone that close in the first place? It works as a phone, browser, video player, mp3 player, camera, text, everything I run (I'm not a gamer). I don't understand the obsession with the latest & greatest, spending more money on contract to the tune of me saving 81 bucks PER MONTH off contract, just to have a marginally better device. It just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, the Lumia 1320 has a 6" screen, full Windows Phone 8.1, expandable memory, NFC, wireless charging IIRC, and so much more. The apple iPhail Sux: More magical mediocrity per dollar than any other phone.

No sapphire, just "glass" accotding to the Apple website:https://www.apple.com/iphone-6/display/ The iPhone 6 is most (but not all) of what the fanbois envied about Android phones with an Apple on the back. And it's the antithesis of what Steve Jobs tried to do. Jobs - "form follows function"; Cook/Ive - "form follows fashion".

Apple is indeed a "haunted empire". Yukari Iwatani author got it right: http://www.yukarikane.com/haunted-empire-book/ Cook -- "form follows profits" Ive -- "form follows my wet dreams" Cook got to design the iPhone and Ive got to do the iWatch. The money men who want to data mine all of Apple's customers are leading the charge for the invasive health monitoring, home monitoring, etc. Everything strength of Apple that Jobs built, every ounce of customer trust Jobs earned, is being burnt to the ground by Cook for profits. It's ugly.

Was there any mention of battery life of the two iPhone? What about the runout the iPhone was suppose to be water and dust resistant? I think those rum ours didn't pan out either.
