0. phoneArena posted on 14 Sep 2012, 06:00

That T-Mobile is not getting the iPhone 5 should not come as much of a surprise. After all, Apple finally added LTE support to its pride and joy, yet the nation's fourth largest carrier still relies on HSPA+ for 4G connectivity. In fact, T-Mobile is not expected to have LTE up and running until some time in 2013. However, T-Mobile will offer Nano SIM cards for use with the iPhone 5...

I figured they would do this. They did the same with the micro SIMs.

I also want to point something out to avoid confusion. The $70 Unlimited Talk, Text, Web (5GB of high speed) is on T-Mobile's PREPAID plan, not contract. Contract would be $95 with mobile hotspot added to that. For purchasing a phone at retail cost, the prepaid option would be best.

it would be stupid to get a postpaid plan by paying full price for the device because you will be paying for the phone every month.

Nano SIM or Micro SIM card are nothing special... you can make either of them yourself from a regular sim by trimming the extra plastic material with a scissor, razor blade or box cutter. You don't need to but those sim card cutters. Look online for templates.

AT&T 199phone+(40voice+20text+50data/5gb)*24)2640= $2840 VS T-MOBILE 650phone+(30*24)720= $1370. AT&T is faster in many location, verizon as well, BUT NOT THAT MUCH FASTER lol $1470 difference WOW :p

I am on a T-mobile family plan with unlimited talk, text & data. Bought an unlocked iPhone 5. Took it to a t-mobile company store and they gave me the micro sim, installed it and set me up no charge! Beware that you do not go to authorized retailer. They wanted to charge $99!
Works wonderfully and I have the phone I've always wanted!
