Its cool and all that ios gets timely updates but whether i used an iphone nor android, i never really cared about updates altogether. as long as its working, i dont care about updates.

It is easy to control updates when you only have few options and you control the whole eco system. I just love how they compare their s**tty iOS to Android though.

iOS 8 on my 6 Plus is just as fast as Lollipop on the S6. Care to troll more?

I own my Note 3 since the release, man, I've never been happier with any smartphone. Even on Lollipop, it's performance (and everyday performance, too) is great! It depends on how you use your device !!!

It fits my needs perfectly. Used Android for three years and switched to iOS to mix it up a little. If I'm going to get a phone, it's going to be a flagship and nothing less. Love my 6 Plus just the same way I loved my S5 and Note 4. :)

So Apple are comparing the adoption of a new OS with 4/5 apple phones & a few ipads to thousands of Android phones & Tablets.

Nothing new to Apple. Their insecurity always kicks in during their keynotes, their world would collapse if they didn't try to bash Android or Samsung.

this would be a more valid criticism if most samsung commercials weren't about bashing apple it's called marketing, brah it doesn't have anything to do with insecurity it's just good practice it would be weird if samsung and apple didn't bash each other every chance they got i find it funny, regardless of which platform you are on apple is right about their criticism about android's update rate. it has and still is a big weakness of the system. basically the only sure way to get the new version of android is to buy a new phone and samsung is spot on about apple people being silly and waiting in line and their other commercials about the features on samsung's phones passionately caring about one system over the other is stupid unless one of those companies is paying you to troll if they are, congratulations on your easy job. if they aren't, take a chill pill. both operating systems are basically the same, just pick the phone that looks good/works with your other devices/does what you need it to if you have a study that proves that android people or something are supremely more productive/successful/happier, then we have something to talk about but if all you have to say is that one is better than the other because it works for you/fits you budget, you aren't saying anything at all.

I'll give Apple props for speedy updates even though I don't like the brand or their products. Let's not be hypocritical here even though they control their OS and hardware and have but only a handful of devices to support compared to Android it's Google's duty to sort out it's update circle arrangements with its partner OEMs to push these updates to users of the platform. I for one am very disappointed my galaxy note 4 is still kitkat despite rumors of Samsung already pushing lollipop updates to other users of the same device for months now. So I say well done Apple please continue to rub it in so these manufacturers wake up to their responsibilities or otherwise loss their customers.

what apple fails to state that they have only one manufacture and like 10 phones and only 7 that can run ios, compared to android which has billions of different devices. while only a select few of said devices can run 5.0. so no wonder apple has higher adoption rates, BECAUSE THEY HAVE FEWER PHONES! bunch of dumb f@%#S they are.

That's an excuse. It's up to Google to control this...

That's a joke right? Google makes base Android for its own Nexus devices. Other manufacturers license Android and build on top of that. It's not up to Google to force another OEM to update their devices. Please.

It's funny how they ignore that iOS updates are completely dependent on the OS, yet the majority of android updates come through google play services on a monthly-basis.

You have got to be F***in kidding me!!! these aholes need to compare with the Nexus family alone if they are adamant!!! iDiots!!!

According to Wikipedia, there were 1,6 billion Android devices in 2014, so 12% of that is 192 million? How many devices were able to update to iOS 8 and what's the number of 83% of that?
