Note 8 with oreo can beat iPhone X in speedtest, check all those test on youtube.. But if benchmark number is more important than real life performance, then please enjoy that number..

Another great video. That true tone display though ugh. Looks horrible.

Checked all those speed tests, Note 8 wins only in memory management rounds. So I'm enjoying those numbers as well as real life performance. Nice try tho but I'm sorry I have to hand you over your L.

Bulls**t, did we even use the same youtube? use keyword "Note 8 oreo iphone x speed test" and the top 2 result is:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JP_QDkqGKgMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xpEv3_Ew0U And Note 8 win BOTH.

A video with 13k views lmao Your L.

You idiot.. How can view count have anything to do with the content? 13k views is already alot, and there aren't many Note 9 oreo vs iPhoneX on youtube.. (and did you just ignore the other link that I write there? that have 150k views, lol) Ok, now give me TWO links of Note 9 oreo vs iPhone X speed test where the iPhone X win, and have more than 13k views.. Won't be hard right? since on post #25 you already said "Checked all those speed tests, Note 8 wins only in memory management rounds. So I'm enjoying those numbers as well as real life performance."

"use keyword Note 8 oreo iphone x speed test." "now give me TWO links of Note 9 oreo vs iPhone X." You're confused af fella and I really want what you're smoking.

Why did you cut it half way? did you have hard time understanding that sentence? Read the whole sentence: "now give me TWO links of Note 9 oreo vs iPhone X speed test where the iPhone X win, and have more than 13k views" oh, whatever.. #MicDrop

iPhone X beats the Note 8 (with Oreo) in speed tests and real life tests. When iOS 12 comes out the Note 8 should be pitted against the iPhone 6 instead. It won't be a fair competition otherwise.

No, it didn't. In fact, the X also lost to the One Plus 6, and several other mid range phones in real life speed tests. Not that it matters, as you're not going to notice the differences either way using either one.

First of all Geekbench is the worst test, period. It is so inaccurate. Plus 3DMark Slingshot extreme 3.1 test on Android is using OpenGL, but for iOS it is using Metal. Not really a fair or accurate test. Both Geekbench and 3DMark should upgrade their tests for Android to use Vulkan graphics instead of OpenGL. Especially when Apples Metal is closer to Vulkan graphics instead of OpenGL. Android has had Vulkan graphics support since 2016. It's not like a device cannot support it nowadays. It's been in every device since Nougat. Only idiots think these tests should be used as a measurement of accurate speed.

Apparently you guys at PhoneArena don't know that these tests are crap. They are using Metal graphics for iOS benchmark tests, but use OpenGL for the Android benchmark tests. The thing is Metal graphics on iOS, is closer to Vulkan graphics instead of Open GL. Plus everyone should know by now that Vulkan graphics is so much faster than OpenGL. Those apps need to be updated, or just don't use them.

Isn’t it tragic the amount of games supporting Vulkan? Let’s cry together :’( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_with_Vulkan_support

What I came to know that Vulkan only support by Samsung not by Android OS.

Then you don't know jack. Because the GPUs first of all have to support Vulkan, which ALL of Samsung's and Qualcomm's SoCs these days support Vulkan. Plus Vulkan has to be supported in the OS, which has been supported since Nougat (7). The last part and the most important part is the apps have to use Vulkan graphics. Which both Geekbench and 3DMark are not using. But the hardware and OS do support Vulkan. Even low end devices like the Moto E5 support Vulkan graphics. So it's about time these app makers update and support Vulkan graphics.

My bad you’re right. But Samsung introduced Vulkan first since galaxy S6?.

I don't remember which exact phone it was, but yes, Samsung supported it before Android.

Geekbench only matters when iPhones throttle and for everything else: "First of all Geekbench is the worst test, period. At the end of the day there is no excuse for Geekbench and 3DMark to not update their apps, and add support for Vulkan graphics. Even low end hardware these days supports Vulkan graphics. So why haven't they updated their apps? Is it to pump up iOS benchmark tests by reporting false and inaccurate benchmark results? Because that is exactly what it looks like, especially if you know the technical side of hardware and software.

sgodsell, the 3D Mark Slingshot Extreme 3.1 can use Vulkan graphics since v2.0 on Android. This was release like 8 months ago. They are up to 2.5 now I believe. You can look it up yourself broseph. https://benchmarks.ul.com/3dmark-android Here's the changelog for 3DMark v2.0. Completely redesigned app is now faster and more useful than ever. New charts, lists, and cards help you learn more about your device. See how your scores and device compare with the latest models. New Sling Shot Extreme benchmark test using the Vulkan API. New Material Design UI is fast, responsive, and easy to use. See the updated app description for more details.

BS, especially when the test states OpenGL in the actual test itself. Where as the iOS version states Metal. Try to use logic, if the test that was being performed using Vulkan. Then why doesn't it state Vulkan? Simple logic, right ninetysix. To top it off all new devices from last year ALL supported Vulkan graphics. So those benchmark apps are crap.

"At the end of the day there is no excuse for Geekbench and 3DMark to not update their apps, and add support for Vulkan graphics" 3DMark supports Vulkan. End of story brosephine.https://benchmarks.ul.com/news/new-vulkan-benchmark-test-for-android

At the end of the day then why is PhoneArena showing 3D Mark Slingshot Extreme 3.1 score. That specific test on Android is using OpenGL. They should be running and showing Vulkan tests instead.
