Amazon is holding a massive Mother's Day sale on a bunch of popular Echo devices
Despite holding on to a seemingly comfortable dominant position in the global smart speaker market, Amazon must be feeling Google's pressure, once again discounting a bunch of its popular Echo devices after organizing a spring sale not that long ago. While this fresh batch of deals is advertised as primarily targeted at mothers, it goes without saying that the whole family can enjoy the convenience and versatility of an Echo, Echo Dot, or Echo Show.
There's even a kid-friendly edition of the diminutive Echo Dot you can purchase at an outstanding 50 percent discount at the time of this writing with a snazzy "punch red" case, one year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited access included, and a 24-month "worry-free" guarantee. On the inside, the Echo Dot Kids Edition is naturally pretty much identical to the standard third-generation Echo Dot, which has been on sale at 40 percent off its list price for a few days now.
If you're looking for an even cheaper Alexa-enabled accessory, the Echo Input is currently available at $15 off, representing a whopping 43 percent price reduction. Of course, this thing is essentially useless on its own, having to connect to an external speaker via a 3.5 mm audio cable or Bluetooth to support Alexa's ever-expanding skills.
Perhaps the best deal you can get right now is a second-gen "standard" Amazon Echo at $35 (or 35 percent) off, seeing as how that makes the straightforward smart speaker without a screen or a hub cheaper than ever before. While this 2017-released bad boy has been repeatedly marked down in recent months, we don't remember seeing it offered at a larger than $30 discount.
The second-gen Echo Plus and second-gen Echo Show are also impressively affordable ahead of Mother's Day, retailing for $30 and $50 less than usual with built-in smart home hub capabilities and a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen in tow respectively.
