YouTube's mobile app updated with support for navigating gestures, iPhones get it first
Great news for iPhone users, as the YouTube mobile app now features support for a new way to navigate through clips using gestures. A new report from TechCrunch confirms YouTube is now rolling out the new feature this week to all iOS devices out there.

The new horizontal swiping gesture will allow iPhone users to move forward and backward through the videos. YouTube also mentions that swiping forward will take users to the next recommended video, whereas in order to go to the last video watched, they will only have to swipe back.

Regardless of how many times you're swiping back and forward, the video that you're watching will always resume where you left off. Apparently, the update is meant to provide YouTube users with more control over video playback on their mobile devices.

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, support for gestures will only be available to iOS users initially. YouTube hasn't said a thing about Android yet, but we're hoping the update will make it to Google's platform in the not so distant future as well.
