Xperia XZ2 Pro spotted in HTML benchmark, long display reaffirmed

First and foremost, the screengrab shows us that the new phone is running Android 8.1 Oreo. Then, we get a section saying "Screen size: 424 x 848 px". Now, we doubt this is the actual screen resolution the phone would ship with — who knows what happened there — but these numbers do show us one very important thing. The display would have a 2:1 aspect ratio, a.k.a. 18:9. This reiterates that Sony's next flagship might have that extra-tall display, as first seen on the LG G6 and Galaxy S8.

What else? Unfortunately, nothing much — not from this screenshot. We doubt that Sony would be ditching the Omnibalance design language — we imagine that the XZ2 Pro would still be a rectangular design with a power button right in the center of its frame. It'd probably look close to the pretty Xperia XA2, but with a longer display and slimmer forehead / chin.

Of course, that's just speculation. A phone speculation!
