Xiaomi's CEO: We will probably be the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world in 5 to 10 years

Just four years and a half ago, nobody had heard about Xiaomi, simply because this fast-growing Chinese company was non-existent at the time. Although its products are only available in select Asian markets as of now, Xiaomi has climbed all the way up to the third spot in the smartphone market, selling more devices than older major players such as LG, Sony, Lenovo, HTC, and many others. Xiaomi's crusade for the lion's share of the smartphone market is nowhere near finished, mind you...

If you have used Mi3/4 you will throw away Moto x, x+1 both. Moto G is not even in the league of these phones. Its just a beginners phone and unfair to compare with a premium product like Mi3/4. should be compared with Redmi 1s

On the contrary, from next year onwards Xiaomi will start to dip and be unsustainable. All manufacturers (the chinese have already started since this year) including Samsung will target the type of category Xiaomi were focusing on solely, and in no way Xiaomi has the either the size or R&D capabilities to match a fight.

Which really doesn't mean much cause they can reach that goal with China alone. I'd like to see them attempt something Apple never thought of. Then they'd be worthy of respect.

That's what I call 'Xiaomirage'! Optical illusion. Hallucination. A psychotic condition caused by a mix of myopia and megalomania. And do you think Apple and Samsung will be sleeping off while you become world's largest smartphone maker in 5-10 years? And this is a brand that has not sold a single phone in Africa, one of fastest growing, densely populated smartphone consumer regions in the world. Samsung exploded to the top within 4 years and now has peaked and is losing pace. So, how does Xiaomi think it will keep its current explosive fame up to the next 10 years when competition is getting stiffer by the day?

All phones are made in China. All of them. Best case, your phone parts were all made in china and then assembled in Korea.

Not hard to see it happen. Especially their phone is dirt cheap considering the specs.

Xiaomi is a good upgrade for iP6 owners. You need to use them before you know how good they are.
