Xiaomi Mi Note Pro phablet announced with Snapdragon 810 and 4 GB of RAM

Only because this is a Chinese marketed phone with a Chinese price. Launch it in any other country and it will face regulation, testing and tax, leaving it in a price range almost the same.

If it's price over than your "budget" you wouldn't care how much less than established competition IMO. Their previous flagships Mi3 and Mi4 were beginning from $320.

A fairly compelling proposition. Now let's wait for the top specced Zenfone 2's price then.

Hot Damn. The SD810 train isn't stopping. Unfortunately it seems Xiaomi is slowly abandoning their business model has it spreads. The Galaxy Note 4/ iPhone 6 Plus undertones hurt my eyes a bit. I'm sure they could have spent a little extra on the design.

Soo much bullc**p!!! Anyome could throw an SD810 which overheats with 4gb RAM and say that they make a flagship phone. Bad camera stupid design and on top of that nothing in terms of functionality of that extra screen real estate...! It's a NO NO for me.

Xioami is on a killing spree! Apple killer and now Samsung killer. Nice to see apple dethroned of its 2nd spot in a few years and Samsung in 10 years?

I personally think the phone looks great if I were in the market for a new phone this would be a solid option. Competition is great

I am excited about Chinese phones! Sick of being ripped off by over expensive big name phone companies. Looking forward to seeing Chinese phones force the big boys, especially Apple, Samsung, Sony, to reduce their exorbitant prices. My only concern with this phone, at this point, is the focus on ultra thin rather than making room for a slightly larger battery.

Probably, i have to wait a month or few after sd810 rampage on the markets first. Just to make sure it stable and less bugs

I like the hardware but I will not buy another xiaomi product until they sort out MIUI. MIUI is feature-packed buggy pos

I bet it will not work with AT&T LTE so it would be of no use to me. This is why Chinese companies will be limited in growth. If you cannot sell in the USA where people have money for expensive phones you are not really in the game.
