Xiaomi Mi Max 3 pops up on TENAA, 6.9-inch display and 5400mAh battery revealed
Xiaomi’s CEO has already confirmed that the low-cost brand is working on a successor to last year’s Mi Max 2 and, with an announcement set to take place next month, a new listing on TENAA has just revealed every last detail.

Starting off with the external aspect of things, this year’s Mi Max 3 looks set to include a huge 6.9-inch display, up from the 6.44-inch display featured on its predecessor. Despite the rather large increase in size, though, overall dimensions are expected to remain largely similar, with the new device being just 2mm taller – this small increase can be attributed to the switch over to a taller 18:9 aspect ratio and a reduction in bezel size. On an additional note, the smartphone is once again expected to boast an aluminum body that boasts a rear fingerprint scanner.

Taking a peek at the internals, an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz is present, suggesting it could be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636. This will then be coupled with one of the three available setups depending on user preference. Those looking to spend the least amount of money can opt for the entry-level variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, although a slightly upgraded version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is available too. Additionally, anyone looking for even more storage can opt for a 128GB alternative which comes with 6GB of RAM as an added bonus. Regardless of the option chosen, however, all variants of the large device will sport a huge 5,400mAh battery and will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box along with what will presumably be MIUI 10. Lastly, a dual-camera setup comprised of a main 12-megapixel camera and an unspecified second lens will be present in addition to an 8-megapixel selfie sensor.
