It appears the iPhone X *will* be available to Xfinity customers. I'm going through the in-house training now.

The iPhone 6S is looking mighty interesting at 450 Bucks...

Here, The A7 (2017) is going for about $480 with bigger, better display but weaker SoC, Cameras and pretty much everything else when compared to The 6S!

For just $70 more, you can get The 6S Plus with roughly the same display!

For the first time in my life, an Apple product is looking 'affordable'!

I might grab an 6S to see what the fuss is about!

G'Day!

The thick bezel of yesteryear look so awful! The resolution on the iPhone8 at 750x1334 is so behind the others. At $699, anyone with a sane mind has to be crazy enough to spend that kind of silly money for a phone!

Still looks good at that res...the diff than any other company that you get with Apple is the "experience". Samsung, LG, nor any Android device can do this. Everyone I know has at least 3-4 Apple devices or services, weather it's an Apple Watch, Apple Music subscription, iCloud service, Apple TV, MacBook, or iPad. Tell me another company that can tie in an overall experience to the customer?

People who see perceived (Apple's innovative, ...) and self-fulfilling (as long as I feel happy or enlightened ...) values to be indispensable are the right customers of the iPhone8(s). People who value self-independence, diversity, leading-edge innovation, and true value for money most likely consider anything other than the iPhone8(s). A wise person, unless she/he is fill who knows how to make the best use of money on things that matter to her/himself and the society at large would always keep the mind open. There is no reason why one should be locked in the wall garden of a single company unless this company always provides the best of everything. Law of nature/physics clearly tell us that this will never happen.

What you wrote is pure anger toward iPhone buyers...An opinion less than what those who believe...you sounded good up to the point of your mock of wall garden. Don't you realize that businesses and institutions use Apple products. Not a surprise...

Every product, regardless of its manufacturer, always has its pros & cons. The combination of iOS and Mac OS 10 and their associated HW/Apps certainly have their merits. Looking back in history, desktop publishing was once the strength of the predecessor of Mac OS 10, followed subsequently by video/image processing. Nowadays, with market share shrunk to below 10%, Mac OS is hardly worthy of the financial investment by the business & institutions, except those with "religious" belief and the lust for perceived "innovative products" from Apple. Occasionally, Apple did produce innovative products, but those occasion occurred once every 6 ~ 10 years, i.e. not continuously. iOS and its HW/Apps components are what keep Apple live and they have created a halo for the Mac OS and the associated HW/Apps. Having through the years of "convergence" in late 90s, the uPnP & DLNA in early 2000s, the promises of "connected devices" were difficult to realize. I was always fascinated by the promise of utopia by any single company especially one which rarely offer products which are truly value for money (in absolute money terms :)

I am not angered at iPhone buyers. I am just fascinated by how easy people are willing to throw about the hard-earned money to something so commodity while there are so many good choices around :)
