Wow: Essential Phone price drops to $250 (Amazon Prime Day deal)
Released in the US last year for $699, the Essential Phone now normally costs around $500 - that's not a bad price, considering all the high-end features that the handset comes with. But hear this: Amazon is getting ready to sell the Essential Phone for just $250, thus offering it for a price that usually gets you significantly inferior smartphones.

The Essential Phone will be sold for $250 only during Amazon's Prime Day event, which starts today, July 16, at 3 PM Eastern Time / 12 PM Pacific Time, and ends after 36 hours. You will (obviously) need an Amazon Prime account in order to take advantage of the deal, which is exclusively available in the US and Canada.

Right now, Amazon's awesome Essential Phone deal is not live, but it will be at the times mentioned above - in about 5 minutes from the moment we're publishing this article.

UPDATE: The deal is now live, including the Black Moon and Halo Gray variants of the smartphone - see the first source link below. Interestingly, Essential allows you to win one of its handsets by spreading the word on this deal on Twitter (US and Canada only). You can find all the details on exactly how you can win an Essential Phone at the second source link below. Find more Prime Day phone deals here.
