And the title is quite amusing: "With the iPhone 8, Apple surrenders design leadership to Samsung" Really? Apple had lost that design leadership since years ago... along with the 4-year rehearsal of the same iPhone 6 design which got outdone by rivals since 2015.

Yep,, IMO, Apple lost the design leadership since the introduction of S6 Edge.

But they're still pretending as if the iPhone 6 was comparable in design to the Galaxy S6. They gave up that design leadership 4 years ago.

Samsung has out done Apple in design since 2015, It's about time PA realized that lol.

This was a surprising article from PA. But I noticed they made it out as if the S6 had terrible colour options, like the Emerald Green S6 Edge was loved by 99% of tech fans. Also I for one found the Black Sapphire to be very classy.

Guy who talks about the iPhone like a dad talking to a daughter who just turned sixteen actually gives Samsung credit. Wew lad.

Took him long enough (3 years) to realize that.. But I'm sure he'll write something like "iPhone X take design leader.." when it's launched (and it's less than 1month away)

Don't give him any ideas. But he won;t have to. John V first look article will bring that upfront. Then we will see 13 articles about design and how Apple is beating Samsung and there move to the top of design, was short-lived....

I had to double check the URL. PA just made my day S8/S8+, Note 8, Pixel XL, V30 are best looking phones of this year

Apple is fine regarding profits..design leader is not anymore..when the priority is to maximize revenues by selling dongles and removing useful features the result is other OEMs to take your place

Apple shut its doors???? Too profitable mate. It would be nice if they gave the people who manufacture their phones a share of the dividend.

Apple design reached its peak with the Iphone 5.

That's definitely my favorite, but the 6 is a pretty phone too. So it's no wonder they kept that same basic design for the 7 and 8.

6 was the ugliest iPhone ever, for me atleast. I remember the day it was was released I was seeing myself staring at Apple and asking from the tip of my tongue, "What the heck is that????" And maaan, were those antennae lines an eye sore!!!!

This year? Lmao Samsung surpassed Apple in the design department 2+ years ago when they released the S6 Edge.

So true... I am still keeping my 5S as I believe it is Apple's best design ever. Since then I think Galaxy phones are better than iPhones in terms of designs.
