Windows Phone version of HTC One (M8) is confirmed?

The HTC One (M8) is certainly one of the front runners for the title of best designed smartphone for 2014. In fact, the design is so good that HTC is expected to use it again, this time for a Windows Phone flavored model. Last month, we caught wind of a phone to be called the HTC One (W8) that would be released by Verizon before the end of September...

They couldn't sell this cheap aluminium brick with Android, but what about with WP. LOL It looks like, just another tech media worshiping fake rumors, to me. The apple's propaganda must worship the "premium aluminium" every day. Right?

Hey POPi, what are you going to do when your beloved Samesung releases the Galaxy S5 Prime (or whatever it will be called) in all of its aluminum glory?

Why? There's plenty of windows phones, and they all look the same (software-wise), who cares if there's one more or one less?

I wonder how much MS pay HTC to do this. Maybe BB need to do Z10/Q10 WP edition. At least it will sell more than using BB OS 10.

Its very bad for him, that PA doesn't give him much chance to troll now a days, by posting less BlackBerry article, so he is now trying to troll BlackBerry in other phone's article........... I always see him only on the BlackBerry related articles, its first time i am seeing him commenting on the article of anything other than BlackBerry.........

Believe me, he has trolled WP plenty of times before. Ask Liveitup. He's seen him do it as well. I'm betting so have many others.

This will be great for WP! However, I wish OEM's would come out with original designs for products per their respective OS, as opposed to rehashing an Android design. WP is a great platform, and deserves at least that much.

He said it right, at least. Apart from lumia what choices you have? That too almost same plastic/poly carbonate design.

Lol!!... Lumia devices have many distinctive designs.. The aluminum, 925 looks nothing like the aluminum 930/Icon, the 928 is seriously different than the 920.. The 1020 looks nothing like the 1520... Lol!! Don't feel too sorry for WP fans... .............. I would say that Lumia devices have more choice than iPhones have to offer, and the iPhone does just fine... Great desing is all we need, not just different looks for the sake of looking different... .............. But, to answer your question... I have the choice to have a life.... What device do you have, by the way?

Just release a WP version of the One M8 and the Mini 2 HTC! That will open a lot of possibilities...Dual Boot FTW!

Dual boot would only be niche... It really wouldn't "win" against anything... But, it would be cool!!

It would be a niche yes, but people who want the best of both worlds will be very pleased

No one can do that! Releasing such a phone for WP better concentrate on android as they have begin to see the green light this year with M8 success. You can not just compete with MS on their own turf and referees. WP is not appealing and most of the people using it are die hard NOKIA fanboys so unless a device is a lumia, can not see another oem selling a phone with live tiles in it!

So true, 90% of WP sold were Nokia Lumia. If it wasn't for Nokia, WP would be smaller than BB right now. WP is the real burning platform that elop talk about.

Its same like, when HTC were the only one's making windows mobile devices. Now with wp its only Nokia. But that doesn't mean HTC can't compete, 8X was a hit.
