Windows Phone and Android get two great new calendar apps, and both are called Cal

Cal, from the makers of Any.do, appeared recently at the Play Store, after a long stint for iOS, and immediately became a hit. Meanwhile, Windows Phone users got one of the best calendar apps there is for the platform, called... Cal again, but from an entirely different developer...

Its amazing how much better an app can be when the platform is so much more open.

open? How open can you get when its free to unlock your phone for dev purposes, you can make apps for free, you can use touchdevelop to code right from your phone, and now the new app builder as well. Please just cause it's MS OS doesn't make so closed only big wigs can play. I have mine unlocked like this and Visual Studio Express installed, can make any app.

Fandroids... I am getting bored with you... Paid by google? Anyway if you dont like the minimalistic design get another app. That simple.

I think the WP versions UI looks wayyy better. But functionality is a different story.
