Why use words when an animated GIF will do? PopKey for iOS 8 is coming

The September 17th release date of iOS 8 brings with it something that iOS users have wanted for years, the ability to use a third party QWERTY keyboard. This has led big name players in the space, like SwiftKey, to already announce a September 17th launch date for its highly regarded offering. It also has led to a smattering of third party keyboards from new names, some with different features...

Why didn't they make one for android? I have always observed it....whenever apple does something, it becomes really popular because the developers really support them

Thats because of the problem fandroids try so hard to resist. The OS distribution fragmentation. One API that available on a particular android version is not available in another version. Since majority of Android phones are not on latest Version, its really hard to target a particular API level. And Most of the Android phones that are active today falls under mid to low range which is not that enticing to developers. This is One of the key reasons I switched from Android to iOS other than Better apps, better Games, smoother experience, constant OS updates etc. Even the same App feels entirely different on Android. Take Airbnb for example. while iOS app has very nice UI with awesome Animations, Android app feels like a very basic outdated iOS app. Developers need extra effort to create new animations on Android and even those animations are not smooth like on the iOS.

This is the reason why I've stuck with ios for so long as well. Their 3rd party support is unmatched. And this is the same exact reason why the apple watch will be more useful than all the other watches. Developers will code for Apple first and then create an Android version as an afterthought.

Games are garbage on Android. And wading through the Dalvik layer for precise controls. No thanks.

Most top games on iOS are on Android, so that statement is garbage. Also most games are written with NDK, not java. So no need to wade through the Dalvik layer.

Such bull from one post. With 88% of all Androids using 4.0 and above there is no problems with API fragmentation. That vast majority of APIs especially APIs related to Graphics, Bitmaps, and animations have not changed at all. So something like this app is very easy to make. Not to mention there are already some that are similar that allow you to send pictures. Although one part is true. That the majority of sales for Android is the low end devices. However with that said 150 million low end Androids sold last quarter. There is no low end iPhones because none sell below the $200 range. There were 50 million high end Android solds (above $400) vs 28 million high end iPhones sold during the same time period. Also 50 million mid range ($200 - $400) Androids sold vs 7 million mid range iPhones sold as well during the same time period. I am really amazed at all the I bull crap flying around. "Developers need extra effort to create new animations on Android and even those animations are not smooth like on the iOS." Do you actually believe the crap and lies you post? If you want to included a smart phone that costs $70 and compare it to an iPhone, sure you can't expect to have the same experience. If any user is expecting to have the same experience as a $650 Android smart phone user, then think again. Even Apple cuts out options and features from its iOS updates from its older models. Android doesn't cut out features or options from its OS upgrades. I swear Apple must pay people to go around and bash others in order to try and pump up there declining market share. Android has the choices, features, SIZES, NFC, ram, hardware in general to rival and surpass any iPhone, including the new iPhone 6 models.

TLDR. Buy the phone that you want and stop worrying what other people are buying with their own money.

Yes.....apple somehow gets better apps, better accessories etc...even if Apple's products or features aren't new...the developers the case makers and the others make them special.

This is always the case e.g. Verizon's messages app looks great on my iPad, but on my Nexus 7, a piece of junk someone put together in two minutes.

Its all one big popularity contest. Even if the track team has Olympic worthy athletes the pee wee playing level football team will always get the new gear, lights and anything their hearts desire. Apple is nothing special but they are popular enough where this crap will happen and continue to happen unfortunately..... Sigh
