You should probably read the comments again before trying to call me out. Not only do you look like an ass right now, but the validity of your comment is now worthless. If you don't know what you're talking about, then please don't pretend like you do. It's TI's fault the GN didn't get updated to 4.4. If you can't see that, I don't know what to tell you honestly.

Just like if an iPhone electrocutes you it's not Apples fault but some third party charger.

Uh...if the battery is faulty....I would think so...

It's Google's fault dammit. Google is responsible for creating software for Galaxy Nexus.

TI has to release the drivers, which isn't possible anymore since they've dropped out of the business. Google can theoretically do it themselves, but it would take a hell lot of money for a small userbase. It's better to just upgrade to the Nexus 5 tbh.

it will not get the update because it is out of the 18 month timeframe

I agree, thats why I bought a Nexus to get all the updates straight away. Its BS to be stuck on 4.3 with a Gnex.

If you really want KitKat for your gnex. You can get it. There are a number of Roms out there including KitKat Roms from CM. You can even take the official KitKat source code and get KitKat working on your gnex if you want. Well considering the gnex will be 3 years old in October 2014.

Actually the question should be how STOCK 4.4 runs on the Note 3. Touchwiz has been notorious for scrolling lag.

i have stock 4.4.2 on my note 3 exynos version, runs with almost no lag.

It really runs faster .. I've updated mine .. Runs every app faster than ever .. Although I could not see the ART runtime setting in it .. and I'm also looking forward to the upcoming Touchwiz (optimized for performance) version which may get introduced with Galaxy S5.

No problems at all so far. I can't get it to lag no matter what I do.

Well, that's either LG's fault or his carrier's fault, not Google's.

The majority of Android phones die with the operating system they are born with, unless you root and rom it.

A good deal of those phones are low end phones were forgotten along the way. Lately, a good deal of phones are getting updated. For example the 2012 Motorola phones are getting updated. Also, because Google has seperated a lot of the key functions from the main OS (i.e. Keyboard, Calander, Hangouts, etc...) this is becoming less of a factor.

it's good that u said majority, or I would just point out nexus series to debate against u, anyway, good call.

Same here.....i have Lg optimus G pro and it is still stuck with android 4.1.2 with some major battery drainage bugs, I don't know wtf Lg does.....i just hate lg for not updating android on time.

If you cared that much about updates/features, you'd be rooted and flashing the latest Roms.

The problem with that is not many people, especially devs, may have a certain phone which means little to no ROMS. I have experienced this with the LG Spectrum 2. We have a root method but no fully functional ROMS and it's still stuck on 4.1.2. Not even CM seems to btoher. People on the Droid Charge aren't faring all that better either. LG is the main culprit here and I would hope the G2 won't meet the same fate.

My device is still under warranty period and I do not prefer to root until the warranty period expires....:)

If they dont update the Note 3 with 4.4 then my future phones will definitely be a Nexus or Google Branded phone!!

The Note 3 and S4 were updated awhile ago. Your complaint is with the carriers who release it OTA. I received my OTA update yesterday with Sprint.
